If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer). * These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don't meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: I just started getting back into swimming. I bought a speedo, but I am super conscious about my old fat body. I decided to go jammer first and then speedo once I've slimmed down a bit. Likes: * This fits me just as well as the jammers I used to wear back in my heyday. * The color on this is absolutely excellent. It's exactly what I wanted. * Nike has always made good jammers. It's a slightly different cut than TYR or Speedo, but it's comfortable and durable. * For my review, I tried it on dry and then wore it while doing some laps today. It is comfortable for the most part. No likes: * The crotch is a little rough on my junk when I'm out of the water. It doesn't hurt, but it's a little itchy. Once I got into the pool I couldn't feel it any more so I didn't deduct a star since I am mostly using this in the water. Would I pay full price for this product: I'd pay the Amazon price of $33. I don't know that I would pay the sticker price of $55. Final thoughts: Jammers are a good compromise between regular swimwear and a speedo. This item is no exception. I plan to get a lot of mileage out of this as it's a quality suit.

I never wore jammers before this year. I started with the off-brands to save money before investing in more expensive pairs. You pay more for these Nike jammers, but you get a lot more, too. The most profound difference is the higher quality fabric used by Nike. The Nike's are thicker, super smooth, and more stretchy. If drag during swimming competitions is important to you, I would advise against buying cheaper alternatives, as those are nowhere near as smooth as these Nike's, especially where the fabric is stretched the most. The Nike jammers are significantly more comfortable, not just because the fabric is smoother, but also because of the way they stretch. When I move in lower-quality jammers, I often feel that the stretch is spring-loaded and that the more the fabric stretches, the more tension is created that resists the movement. These Nike's are like a second skin, and are so comfortable I often forget that I am wearing a highly compressive garment. These jammers fit true-to-size and the proportions are spot on, although these would probably fit a variety of body types, given the stretchiness of the fabric.

I have to say, this jammer has become an essential part of my swim training, and I can’t imagine my routine without it. Right from the first time I wore it, I felt an immediate connection. The interior drawcord is a game changer; I can adjust it to get just the right fit, which is a must for me when I'm pushing myself in the pool. What really impresses me is how well the chlorine-resistant fabric holds up. After many swims, it still looks and feels great—definitely a relief since I’ve dealt with jammers fading or wearing out too quickly in the past. Plus, it dries incredibly quickly! I can hop out of the pool and know that I won't be standing around in a soggy suit for long. The inseam gusset lends an incredible amount of comfort, and I’ve noticed that the flat seams really cut down on chafing, allowing me to focus entirely on my laps instead of any discomfort. All in all, this jammer checks all the boxes for me. It’s durable, comfortable, quick-drying, and reliable—everything I need for both training and race days. If you’re on the fence about getting one, trust me, you’ll be glad you added it to your gear!

The Nike Jammer compression swimming trunks feel great and look great even on a gangly 56 yr old with a light muffin top. They went on easy and stayed up pretty decent, but still needed the drawstring when they were dry. The draw sting is amply long enough and thick, but not too long. I like the material - its nice and silky. My neg is on two accounts. 1) the stitching in the crotch is terribly scratchy and take getting used to. I'm not sure why Nike chose to have this heavy of a stitching pattern in your sensitive regions. I did get used to it however. 2) Why is the drawstring sewed into the back of the trunks?!?!! The material is thick enough that when wet it wouldn't come out. Stitching it to the back creates a weak point in the construction that can be ripped and then the jammers have to be tossed.

An excellent quality Swim jammer. I have one very similar to it that has started to finally get old, and this new one is a perfect replacement. I am 6', and about 205lbs. I wear a size 36" in the waist, so that's what I ordered. Fits nice and snug to the body, is not to tight or loose, and the draw strings stay when washed without getting lost inside the suit. The material is very stretchable, and slick for a perfect feel in the water. Overall: A great swim jammer that is excellent quality, can keep performance in the water smooth, and can withstand the chlorine and sun elements to last.
