In Southern California, many crawl spaces and attics have limited access, making thorough inspections challenging. These night vision goggles have become an invaluable tool in my arsenal, allowing me to explore these tight, dark spaces effectively and provide my clients with detailed information. One of the standout features of this device is its ability to record in real-time. This is crucial for my line of work, as it enables me to capture footage that I can later review on a larger screen. This often reveals details that might be missed on the small video display of the night vision system. The 8X digital zoom is another fantastic feature, allowing me to get a closer look at hard-to-reach areas without compromising on image quality. The night vision capability itself is impressive. As a longtime photographer I found these night vision binoculars, at first, to be a little intimidating. I’m seeing them now more as a standard digital camera with over-the-top, high-end performance. The three-inch (diagonal) viewing screen and focusing mechanism delivers views that are quite good. The still image and video captures’ resolution ranges from 2M to 8M and 480p to 4K, respectively. Keeping in mind that this device is designed for seeing things in near to total darkness, the image quality does not seem on par with similarly rated standard digital cameras. The binocs have four control buttons. Typical of cameras with extensive menu options, each button performs a number of functions, and those often change depending on the active mode. One function which tripped me up immediately is how to operate the zoom control using the IR/+ button. It has eight levels, which suggests a single press for each. Instead, a long press is needed to scroll through eight, wide-to-telephoto views. I found the black lettering on the black buttons hard to read. Also, I’m seeing only subtle differences produced by the six-position exposure and 0-7 screen brightness value settings. Under Most Valuable Features, I include these: The binocs can be connected to a computer via USB for charging, transfer, storage and playback of photos and videos, and for real-time viewing. The device can operate while charging when connected to a USB power source. I also appreciate the count-down timer and 1/4-inch threaded connection that allows for use of a tripod, both of which help avoid blurring in image capture. Included are a 40-inch USB Type-C cable; operating instructions; a camera strap; lens cleaning cloth; 32GB memory card; padded carrying case with Velcro closure, a belt loop and adjustable-length strap; and a rechargeable #18650, 3.7V, lithium battery. ... show more

The night vision goggles from Sfeoot comes with carrying cased, USB charging/data transfer cable (no A/C wall charger), 32 G memory card and a strap for the unit. The memory card is a little difficult to get in and out of the slot due to being in a indented slot with little room for your fingers. The unit uses 18650 batteries making it easy to replace. Though they call these goggles, in reality they are not. You view the images via a full color LCD screen. At the front of the unit is a single focusing lens and the infrared emitter. The four button controls are easy to learn, but getting use to the double function based on long push vs short push gets a little getting use to. They say the zoom is 8x, which I question (look at the picture of the gate zoomed fully out and fully in). The unit does have a tripod mount on the bottom. The unit is plastic and has a cheap feel to it. When viewing with them the images are sharp and clear both day and night, but the picture capturing is grainy, color balance or white balance is off. I like the viewing quality, that they supply a 32G memory card and its rechargeable. I wish the picture capture quality was better and the unit did not have a cheap plastic feel. I was impressed by how well I was able to see at night. Looking around our 5 acres was bright and clear with no additional light. Looking up in trees 175' away as well as over 300' was also clear and bright. If you can ignore the feel and do not need sharp crisp pictures, these may be a good set for you..... ... show more

Initially I thought there was a problem with the IR illuminator, but then I realized the UV filter which is attached by a string was blocking it. After I popped the filter off it worked great! very impressed with the ambient mode and the IR modes. I just wish the field of view was wider. it's a bit too zoomed in to walk with but it works well to look around with. ... show more
