This product is fantastic and incredibly easy to use! I bought these for my husband, and he loves how lightweight and functional they are, both during the day and at night. The daytime images are clear, and at night, the black-and-white vision is surprisingly sharp—from watching deer at 100 yards to capturing wildlife with the zoom. It’s an amazing, affordable option that offers great quality and fun outdoor experiences. I highly recommend wearing the included strap for stability. These Night Thunder X3 goggles are amazing! The 4K color night vision is super sharp, and I could see clearly over 1300 feet at night. The photos and videos look great, and the battery lasts a long time. Perfect for camping and security. Totally worth it!

Mil-tech eventually trickles down to the consumer market in time, and these are clearly that. I have used simulated night vision products aplenty, but this one is the real deal when it comes to actual infrared imaging in no-light. It does a great job for imaging in all scenarios, and the inclusion of the recording function is a useful bonus. Presentation out of the box is very nice and typical of products of a higher quality and price. The exceptional box it comes in can easily serve as a storage or travel case with the right care. Overall, this is a feature-rich product with plenty of uses, but it does have some shortcomings. Imaging itself is very good - i don't know that this really qualifies as a 4k HD image (by resolution, yes, by quality no), but the image in the viewfinder is sharp and clear in both daytime and nighttime modes. The digital zoom is very typical of cheap imaging products, but it does have nice resolution to pick up finer details despite artifacting. Color reproduction is surprisingly good in lit conditions, both with the AI assist and without. The buttons are mostly intuitive out of the box, but changing from picture mode to video should have a dedicated button press, and not a combination, imo. That said, I find the +/- buttons not nearly as clear nor useful as other options. These dim the image intensity but not the actual screen brightness, and you have to change it for each mode, EACH TIME you switch modes. According to the manual, they reduce the intensity of the IR effect, but it happens in all modes, not just IR, and IR actually has a separate button for level of effect, already. My suspicion is that it is actually a contrast or image brightness adjustment which should rather be a dedicated menu feature you could set for all or individual modes because this is not something I need to change on the fly more than, say, the brightness of the screen - which can only be changed in the menu and only has three settings (6,7,8 ?) OR to dedicate these buttons for zoom in/out with single press rather than having to hold. Setting the easiest accessible buttons for a seemingly useless purpose is a huge con to me in the field, because in total darkness everything should just make sense and be easy to navigate. Feel in the hand is both substantial and cheap. It has a lot of heft to it, probably from the battery size, but the plastic case is more of a "spy kids" product than professional grade. If this was in a metal housing, I could see it commanding every bit of the retail price. The buttons, screen, and image are all nice enough, so, consider it a mixed bag. Just don't drop it. Also, I like the tripod option, but this is un-reinforced plastic. The biggest frustration for me was the alignment of the IR source. The light is not centered on my unit - illuminating the right side of the image more intensely than the left at most distances in dim light. In full darkness and at greater distance the results are much better, but we wont always be using it in complete darkness, so this oversight is a constant sticking point for me. Honestly, I would have far preferred to either do away with the flashlight to move the IR in more for centering like on VISIOGEAR's other infrared product, or to add the option to adjust/move the IR direction, anything to get past this design choice to include a flashlight between the IR and sensor. All told, I think this is serviceable IR night vision at the discounted price of $90 or less, and for anyone who really needs this sort of thing for conservation, farming, camping, etc. it is a good option at the right price so long as you are aware of its shortcomings and treat it accordingly.

I absolutely love these night vision goggles—they’re perfect for both beginners and hobbyists!
