Using this in a spare bedroom as a sort of guest bed. It’s just ok. Ended up needing to buy several mattress toppers to try and bulk it up, as it sits really low. I don’t really like how the handles are cut into the top piece, as it somewhat ruins the “cabinet look” and also just sits on top, loose, like a box lid. Also, bed frame portion that the mattress sits on are really separate pieces, which is a bit odd. Comfort: not bad for a short term sleep! The gaps in the mattress folds are easily felt but not horrible. Bed sits low to the ground. Mattress runs firm which is fine by me as I'm a side sleeper. Seems very sturdy too! Aesthetics: I was happier than I expected once it was assembled. People I've shown this to marvel that it fits a queen bed in the cabinet! It is in my office/guest room since I'll be working from home...you know...forever now. It gives me back so much room vs a traditional bed. Well worth the expense to allow more function in my office! Shipping/assembly: shipped faster than the date I selected by a week. A local freight company delivered it on a pallet. I was able to assemble myself and dismantle the cardboard in a couple hours. If you can assemble IKEA furniture, this is straightforward. Fit/finish: the white paint was nearly perfect with no noticeable drips, scuffs, or scratches. Some of the predrilled holes were off but easily corrected with a drill. ... show more

This came on a skid without any damage to the box. It was easy to follow the directions and to put it together. So far, we love it.

    • Worth it!
I want to give such a great review for this! It should be a 5 star. However, be EXTREMELY careful when you are lifting the leg back up to close the Murphy bed. If you lift the leg without supporting the panel, it will collapse, and heavily, fall on your feet (happened to me while assembling, and my family member the following day when they were putting the bed back together. We both have bruises on our foot). Besides that, it’s inventive and absolutely worth the purchase. The mattress is soft yet keeps cool. You can feel the separation in the mattress, but very minute. To fix this, I just added extra padding. I urge everyone to purchase whether you’re tight on space or not. ... show more

It looks very nice! It's the best option for a guest bed in my tiny 9x12 multipurpose room. It seems sturdy and the mattress is comfy. No one has slept on it overnight yet though. It was simple to put together as most of it cam pre-assembles. All the locks and hinges were already done so really it was just putting the larger pieces together. It does arrive on a pallet and it's very heavy. 2 boxes, one with parts and one with the mattress. I was actually able to tilt the box off the pallet and walk it into my house from the garage. ... show more

This really turned out better than I expected. It’s very sturdy. Extremely easy to set up and put away even for me (middle aged female). The only things I could say would be that I really didn’t like the look with the black hinges and handles so I painted the hinges white and replaced the handles. Also, the bed is not bad for a 6” mattress but if you weigh a decent amount as a adult you can almost feel the hard base below through the mattress. I put a 2” foam topper and a padded mattress protector on it and it’s much better. I slept on it for a week with no issues. ... show more

This is an amazing product. It is well built. The basic design makes this a sturdy piece of furniture. Furthermore the mattress is very comfortable. I need to also mention that I had issues with the delivery in that the mattress was left behind by the freight company. I called night and Day customer service. I had a new mattress within 48 hours. The company is based on the West Coast. I live on the East Coast. They were amazing and I felt that I could trust them them with any issue I had. Many thanks to their customer service rep. It's a guest bed in my den. Thought it may be more comfortable than a sleep sofa which all my guests complained about. I have a twin bedded guest room, but too many great grand children to come with their parents. Now this cube bed will heo0 alleviate the situation.
