I have 3 cats and I am VERY glad I got the larger version. They are in love with this warming pad! If you have been looking around very long you will see a wide range of reviews commenting about the quantity of heat different heading pads give off. Word of warning... a lot of the pet heating pads are just human heating pads with pet tossed on. This one is different! Plugged it in and didn't think it was warming up. Gave it a few minutes and then you could feel the slight heat. One of our cats was laying on it for about an hour. I moved her to make sure it wasn't getting too hot and it was warm but not hot at all! Know there are multiple versions of this. I bought the one that does not have multiple temperature settings, this one only has 1. That is a good thing! Reading reviews from a lot of other manufacturers including the adjustable version of this one and the main complaint is the controller going out. No fancy bells and whistles here! The wife at first was not happy with the power cord... It is armored to make it a lot safer for your pets! This is a VERY high quality pet warming pad. It looks great and is very soft! ... show more

These are perfect if you are looking to provide a warm place for your pet to rest this winter. I bought 2 of these in the gray color to put inside larger feral cat shelters that didn’t come with heat pads. The pads are warm, not hot, and they have soft removable zippered covers for washing. Best of all, they do not have timer controls, so you can plug them in and not worry about resetting them every 24 hours. The cords are covered, 2 prong plugs. There is no additional padding, just the heating mat and cover. The instructions say that the warmth is felt mainly when the pet lays down on it, but I could feel the gentle warmth right away. There is no unpleasant scent or odor. They arrived within a couple of days, and are accurately described by the seller. I would purchase them again. ... show more

My dog loved this. Everything about its exterior seems durable and good quality. It actually gets warm enough too, unlike others. Unfortunately, it only lasted 11 months. Now it no longer turns on and I have to buy another. Update: The seller contacted me and issued a refund, which I appreciate. Bought for our old, arthritic cat but honestly, we use it as well. Great size heating pad. Gets nice and warm. I’ve had this for over a year and it’s still going strong. My cats love the heating pad, especially during the colder months! I have a 10 year old cat that enjoys it the most. I will always catch them sleeping on it! The cord is sturdy, just be aware that you cannot have other things connected to the same extension cable it’s connected to, it will short-circuit/fry them. The heat turns on as soon as there is some weight on it, which is great! I like to put a thin blanket on it for my cats for easy washing. :) ... show more

I have purchased many heating pads for our kitties. Some last and some don't (haven't had this one long enough to review that part). So hoping this one last a good long time. I do really love the quality of this one, the cover is wonderful. It's a nice cream color and super soft! It heats up really nice and my little skinny old kitty loves it! I do place a small little blanket on top, just in case it gets too hot for her. It's the perfect size to place on my kitchen table chair that's by the window. Very soft cover over the pad makes the heating pad comfortable. Quality is very good, too. It's perfect for providing a heated pad for your cat....if they'll use it. My cats didn't want to lay on it, even though I tried a couple places and put it in a flannel pillowcase.
