    • Professional feeling high quality detail brushes at a great price
These are as close to professional artist brushes that I'll ever need. I know there are better brushes around, but these are extremely high quality brushes. I was very impressed by the packaging from Nicpro. Impossible to become damaged during shipping. Each brush is individually encased in plastic and then all brushes are contained in a harder plastic container inside a very nice felt type draw string bag for future storage if you so desire. Wasn't expecting this. And it would be difficult to find fault with the brushes. A pretty complete set of any detail brush I'm going to be needing and so far the one's I've used have done the job well beyond adequately. No frays or loose fibers resulting in fine detailed painting. I wish I'd bought these prior to starting my current painting. I was about half done and didn't have the detail or quality brushes these are. And I can see a huge difference. It may end up looking like two different people had a hand in painting this LOL Also, I love the design and feel of the handles. The brushes are about 7 1/2" long from tip to end of handle and are just the right diameter for easy handling allowing great flexibility. And they have a flat surface near the top of the handle which not only facilitates holding the brush but totally eliminates brushes rolling around the table. LOVE THAT. And lastly, they really clean up easily. Oh, and one last thing. Nicpro includes a very descriptive pocket sized guide that explains all the elements of a brush, and a guide for each type (i.e. liner, round, spot, etc) and what they are best used for. I found that very helpful and thanks to Nicpro for that. If you're looking for a very nice set of detail brushes, these may very well be just what you've been looking for. They were for me. Won't buy another brand but these, love the individual covers that protect the brush. Easy to hold. Cleaning is a breeze. I never use my old brushes now. The new ones allow me to do more detailed work. Love,love love them. flexible and versatile. when i clean then I squeeze to compact them and when dry place them back in individual covers. if still a little damp the open end of cover lets the moisture evaporate.     • Perfect detail brushes!
I am a mixed media artist, but I will say that painting rocks is my favorite and these brushes are invaluable for this task. They are easy to grip, easy to clean, have a variety of sizes from very, very fine to a bit wider, but they are all wonderful. If these get worn out, which is unlikely because they are quality and I take good care of my tools, I would not hesitate to buy them again. RECOMMEND. ... show more

I'm giving only 4 stars because I haven't had the chance to use them to test durability but I'd definitely give it a 5 star for looking like a good product. An excellent value for the price. The handles are very comfortable to grip!

An absolute bargain! My wife and I just started with watercoloring about one year year ago. We have a few nice brushes but wanted to take the next step and treat herself with a variety pack to continue to explore the new lessons she is taking as they are getting more difficult since more details are included in the new paintings. We thought we would get something affordable at first to see if we really need all of these different shapes and sizes. I must say, we are incredibly surprised with the high quality of these brushes at such a low price-point. The school had some really nice "high end" sets but they were at the $80-$100 range. We have been painting with this set for about 3 weeks now, and I must say we do not believe there is a need to upgrade at all. Things that we like: - They are ergonomically shaped which makes holding the brush while working on fine details very easy as opposed to the normal thin brushes - The tips are very well made and pressed in place with very nice precision and force - The various tips were a surprise for us and it is really nice to follow along the lessons while having the correct tip in the set (as opposed to adapting with a 5 tips for all designs approach which is what we have been doing) - The carrying case is genius! simple and sturdy. They include a soft bag, but also a hard plastic shell which screws in place to protect the brushes. Due to the price point and qualityI will most likely be getting another set for myself so we don't have to share. I work a lot on 14th scale figures, which means tiny details, and these are fantastic for that kind of detail.

    • Excellent Brushes, Low Price!
First off, I absolutely adore the rectangular grips that these wooden brushes have. It makes for a very comfortable hold for your fingers. They are perfect for the fine detail work I need so often for my paint by numbers. I am an amateur for sure but these brushes far surpass the cheap ones that are included in the kit. Usually, the smallest brush burns out after only a few larger spaces are covered. That's certainly not the case with these. I'm about halfway through the piece but they still look as good as new. Just be sure to follow the instructions for cleaning them...Never allow paint to dry on the brush...This ruins them! I plop them in warm water if I'm in the middle of painting and need to switch sizes. Although I only use about 8 of them, $21.99 is still very reasonable, considering how expensive a hobby like painting can become! I'm working on a peacock right now so these brushes are perfect to help make the feathers...well, look like real feathers. Superb brush set!!! ... show more
