I purchased the beige curtains. I purchased them originally for two doors that were having a hard time being windproof. The thermal curtains that I got were not staying on and this was problematic. I wanted curtains that were on the inside of the house that could block out wind and still look great. Do the performance of the two on the doors and how well they blocked the temperatures I went ahead and purchased these for the rest of the house after just a few days of owning them. The performance for blocking cold is great and works even better with a second layer but is not required. These are very thick without being ugly. They really brightened up my rooms due to their light color so I am replacing all of my prior thermal curtains. There is a possibility I would iron them but I don't actually care about the fold lines so probably not. These look terrific with either a hanging rod for curtains or just a nail in the wall where the grommets are. I find the nail keeps them closer to the wall surface and is there for more effective for temperature control. These will not hold up to a cat. They will not stay clean if a dog comes in the house wet and sprays all over them. Therefore you should choose such colors as are appropriate to your conditions. There is no smell to these and I ordered a total of 9 of them. I am extremely happy with the color and the fact that they make my room look bigger compared to the older darker color that I had originally for thermal curtains. They perform highly well and are very affordable. I have not yet needed to wash these but I imagine that they will be simple to wash dry and rehang and hopefully with enough cognitions those wrinkles will just come right out with the first wash. I also could not be happier and there's a couple of really great reviews of this product to help you to make the right decision. I think if I still had my cat I would not get these but a darker color perhaps. I'm incredibly happy that this stops the wind in the gaps at the doors and windows very easily. If you have done all the other winterization these are the final piece very comfortable home. They also block out the sun very well. In the photo it looks quite bright but the camera picked up other residual lighting. The second picture that is darker is also picking up residual light but it appears pretty dark inside.

I have the curtains in olive, for my bedroom, navy for the den, and light gray for the living room. The reason I buy these curtains is because there's no reason to not buy them when I want curtains. My home was built around 1926, the old windows are air holes for all the cold, all the heat and all the noise. I need good curtains, and I want pretty curtains ... so this, this is the solution. The curtains are well made, the fabric is delicious, and the selection of colors is great. They will arrive wrinkled. I tried to lay them out for a few days but the wrinkles didn't soften. That's the bad news. I steam ironed them and the fabric is pristine. I tried to steam only but some wrinkles are stubborn. With such a huge bit of fabric, material overflowed to the table, the floor and the ironing board, it was everywhere. BUT! Just as the wrinkles were resistant, so is the ironed fabric. Regardless of all the overflow, once ironed it stayed ironed. I gathered the fabric using the grommets and a fan-fold, and slipped the beautiful curtain onto the rrod. Perfect. I highly encourage getting a grommet curtain pull rod. I got a silver, telescoping pull rod, silver to match the curtain color. The rod makes it nice and smoothe to open and close, plus it spares the fabric fraying. The LR windows are a set of two and a bank of three. Curtains should be at least double the width of the windows. I bought patio width, 100x108, curtains, two for the double window and three for the triple window. I also extend the curtain about 10" from the edge of the window. Then, I want ceiling to floor curtain coverage. I'm going to add sheers to the windows because sheers also help to keep air and noise at bay, plus, sheers add a little formality which I want in the LR. I could go on and on about these curtains, they are just a great choice at a fair price.
