I work the night shift and any light that hits my face will wake me up and I can't go back to sleep. Because I've been searching for the right curtain for so long I layer them on top of each other to block as much as possible. I had an eclipse black out on top of a room essentials blackout curtain and it was okay sometimes the light would still wake me up. I put these up last night and I got the best sleep of my life. (My smart watch even said I slept better lol) I initially woke up to use the bathroom and didn't check the time, I opened my bedroom door and it was bright and sunny outside but my room was almost fully pitch black! Only a bit of light seeped through the sides but its nothing a push pin can't fix. I recommend you measure your windows and buy the next width up. My window was about 36 inches in just the glass part, I got the 42 inches and it more than covered the window glass and the outside of the frame. When I bought these I wanted a pale pink, the color is very nice and not intense. They should just call it pale pink because it's not much purple in the color. I also bought this used from the Amazon warehouse, they were in perfect condition, just wrapped in some plastic instead of the original package. I don't care though because I ended up paying $21 for two of these amazing curtains. If it's on sale stock up they're worth it! Also I was not paid or given anything for this review! Just want to help fellow insomniacs

We have a sliding glass patio door. We didn't want to get the vertical blinds to cover it because then there is not complete privacy (you can see through the side on certain angles). So we got these blackout curtains to hang over our patio doors instead. They are PERFECT! The rings make them easy to slide on the curtain rod whenever you want to open or close the door. They are very thick and heavy and give complete privacy when closed. They are lined so they truly are blackout curtains and darken the room completely when closed. Something I love about the curtains is that they are very soft. My only piece of advice is to make sure your curtain rod is sturdy enough to support them because they are pretty heavy. Would recommend!

I first bought these in white and sea teal a few years ago for our apartment. We've now purchased our first house, and I'm gradually putting these in every room! The greyish green and navy shades are slightly lighter than the pictures. The sea teal is a little brighter. They grey is pretty accurate to the pictures. As others mentioned, the white curtains have a black lining, so they're just as effective as darker colors. I now have 20 panels of varying sizes and colors, and haven't had an issue with any. I agree with other reviewers that the fabric is much nicer (and true blackout level!) compared to other products. I also appreciate the wide variety of lengths and widths they offer. I use a steamer to remove the wrinkles, but I'm sure the dryer trick others mentioned would work too. Given the quality, I think they're a great value, especially if you buy them on sale. That happens pretty frequently - use Honey's Smart Droplist if you'd like the track the price automatically. Keep in mind, you need to hang your curtain rod higher and wider than your window to block out more light. I measure the space between the window frame and ceiling and go about 2/3 of the way up (you can install it higher if you want, as long as you have enough space for the curtain to slide). For width, I try to go at least 6 inches out from the window frame on both sides. This helps with blocking light, but also means that the curtain won't block any of the window when you do open it. Depending on your home, it's also best to have the curtains reach to just above the floor (assuming you don't have radiators or similar). You'll want the curtain width to be 1.5-2 times wider than the rod, so that they look full.

Sorry, I wish I had remembered to take a picture this morning, but I DID get an awesome night's sleep. They were perfect. Yes, there was light coming in around the edges, but I can adjust. I was also pleased that I only needed two panels for my large window. I'm one of those people who are too lazy to actually measure, so I ordered and prayed. I figured for that great price I could come back and order two more if needed, but I didn't need to. I ordered white and they have a black backing. I was so blown away by the price and their effectiveness that it was an Amazon deal I had to comment about. Also, the wrinkles from being packaged steamed right out.

These white "BLACKOUT" curtains are perfect for my bedroom which has a sliding glass door. The room gets hot or warm in the later part of the day, because the sun sets on that window in the evening. The heat is reduced by a ton. I really love that these curtains block out all the bright light. I ordered 4 panels, I believe they come either singely or 2 panels in a pack. But 4 panels were perfect, because it gave the curtains some space to hang nicely and not tight side by side. I can open them and the curtains really hang well. They look just like the picture. They are pretty wrinkly when you do open them and will need to be steamed out a bit.

I purchased these because I bought a longer version for my kids’ room for the black out effect. Now I have them in both kids’ rooms AND our bathrooms. This was right after I hung them, but they have, since, flattened out and aren’t letting any light around the side edges or bottom. It’s hard, with kids, to get into the bedtime routine when it doesn’t look dark when they’re brushing their teeth! This does the trick! The black lining looks so good from the road that we took down the blinds that used to be up behind the curtains.
