I was really looking forward to using the pens but they DO NOT fit. I was totally bummed. As soon as it starts writing it pops out. They are not wide enough. Otherwise this is a great set so far from what I used out of it.

I have used a Cricut Explore for years so I have had a lot of experience with different vinyl and the OEM tools for cutting and weeding the vinyl (as well as paper and other materials). I feel that the tools are pretty good and on par with the OEM tools that I have. The included cutting mats are almost worth the currently published cost of this whole set. Cutting mats have to be replaced after a few projects and I have them on a subscription to deliver 2 every other month. I know exactly what I pay with a subscription discount. It is nearly the same as this set and the mats are really just as good, plus you get all of the other things included in this. The vinyl is okay. There is really nothing wrong with it. It is pretty much on par with the Cricut vinyl, but I have found another brand of HTV that is much easier to weed, especially if you are creating more intricately designed transfers. Part of the problem I have with this vinyl is the backing. The other brand I tend to use, has more of a matte backing. This vinyl has a glossy backing. The light reflecting off the glossy backing makes it hard to see the little cut lines in detailed designs so weeding is difficult. For larger designs that don't have a lot of little cutouts, this vinyl is fine. The tools that come with this set are what makes this set a great value. It would be worth it if that is all it came with. The included vinyl and transfer tape is secondary, but these mediums can really add up in price so it really adds to the value overall and gives the user a lot of work with to get started on a vinyl project. ... show more

The set comes with a great variety of vinyls and tools needed for just about any project you can think of. The vinyl is of decent, but not great, quality.
