I was in the middle of a job at the High end off road shop I work at. We needed a specific sized nutsert to go above an airbag for a roof rack. I saw these were small enough to work without sacrificing rigidity and strength. I ordered the product at 4pm it arrived at my doorstep the next morning at 8am so I was able to go to work with it and use it right away. The handle seems small compared to traditional nutsert tool. It still isn’t very hard to crimp the nutsert though and for things like side step or the photo I proved on a UTV frame, this tool can get literally almost anywhere and do a good job once it’s there. I’ve been on all the tool trucks, I don’t see anything close to this small and accessible of a product. Even if you only need it once every 5 years. Buying this one will let you have one of the best I’ve seen out there and the case it comes in with the selected nutserts it also comes with this kit will get ya going and keep ya going even for me In a full time professional job where we use these a lot. I haven’t even run out of of size nutserts and I believe it comes with about 8 choices. ... show more

This is a must have tool for any good DIYer who likes to modify cars. Game changer for doing mods, as this is the best way short of busting out the welder to fab up a mount for something. Updated: after not being able to contact the seller they read my review and helped me out! Thank you, I just wish there was a way to contact without having to make a poor review. I think this is more of an Amazon issue thought.. would purchase again, and have had many of my friend purchase since. So to start off, this has been a “good” tool. I have stamped a dozen or so 6mm an 1/4-20 rib nuts with ease. But when I stepped it down to a 3mm for a smaller project the die broke before the nut was even set. This was my first pull so I really think it was just a bad part. I tried contacting the seller but it’s all through Amazon. Amazon’s only solution is to return/refund, not that I want to do that, as I have used the product with success and I feel that is a huge waste, but I’m outside of the 30 window anyway. So good product, due to Amazon support, there is no real support.. I feel 2 stars are necessary. ... show more

    • Best Rivet Nut Setter I have ever used.

I bought this to replace an older rivet nut setter that (1) wore out the 6mm mandrel, and (2) had the unmitigated gall to disappear. With the old one, I was looking for just a new 6mm mandrel when the tool disappeared. Nope, no way. I had to buy a whole new kit. So I ordered this Nextack rivet nut setter. It cost more, but it looked way different from all the other stamped metal ones I have suffered through in the past. When it arrived, I had a good look at it and was pleasantly surprised. (A) It looked sturdy. (B) The instructions were in good English! (C) Sadly, the instructions are in very fine print but still readable. READ THEM BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN. The Nextack rivet nut setter has several adjustments. When you get it adjusted correctly, the travel of the handles will be exactly the travel you need to compress the rivet nut. No more and no less. That -=should=- minimize mandrel stripping and breaking. However, the adjustments tend to creep out of adjustment, so it is important to keep an eye on them. Rivet nut mandrels will wear out. That's just their nature. Nextack sells replacements, also on Amazon. So I ordered a spare set in the sizes that I use the most. I'll update this review if needed but so far, so good. ... show more

Simple tool, easy set up and easy to use. Seems very sturdy. Right off I put 4 rivnuts in the top of a toolbox to hold studs for aligning another box on top. The step drill bit handled the task with ease, and the rivnuts went in easily and were very secure. It comes with your common mandrel sizes, other mandrel sizes such as 6/32 and 10/32 are available. ... show more

I had to attach a handle to sheet metal. The original hole was bored out and because of the situation, I could not use a larger screw. I used this to attached a metal base to screw into - brilliant idea, and worked great. Could not have fixed it without this kit. It was inexpensive and came with lots of different options.
