Great nutsert gun

This is a very easy to use rivet nut tool. Used it to replace a failed rivet nut on my dirtbike and it effectively worked as a replacement. It worked as intended and the rivet compressed perfectly in its hole. I would definitely recommend this tool.

Awesome pop rivet gun that actually works! I had to return an Arrow pop rivet gun that malfunctioned frequently so returned it for this Wetols pop rivet gun and it worked flawlessly. I used it to install an anchor trolley on my kayak using tri-fold rivets and the project was a success A+

Good rivet gun value, but the included drill bits were not great

We purchased this rivet gun kit for a gutter project, and overall it was a good value. The rivet gun itself worked for what we needed, and we plan to keep it and use it for more upcoming projects. What I like: • Good value overall • Rivet gun worked for our gutter project • Useful tool to have for house/property projects • We plan to keep using it • Nice kit for occasional DIY use • Helpful for gutters and similar projects • Good to have on hand instead of needing to buy one later • The rivet gun itself seems worth keeping Things to be aware of: • The included drill bits were not great • One of the drill bits broke during our gutter project • I would consider the included drill bits more medium-duty than heavy-duty • If you are working on a tougher project, you may want to use your own better-quality drill bits • The kit is still useful, but the accessories are not all the same quality as the rivet gun • I would not judge the whole kit only by the drill bits, but they are the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 Overall: This rivet gun kit was a good value for our gutter project, and we will keep the rivet gun for future projects. The main downside was the included drill bits. They did not seem very high quality, and one broke while we were working on the gutter project. I still think the rivet gun itself is useful and worth having, but I would use better drill bits next time. For that reason, 4 stars feels fair.

Poor quality mandrels; unavailability of replacement parts

I ordered this tool this morning and it arrived hours later the same day. I was impressed by the packaging (molded plastic case), though wondered why they didn't create molded slots to store the extra mandrels with the tool. The riveter was sturdy with a nice weight and seemed to be of good quality. The instruction sheet was unclear and the photos barely helpful; probably sufficient for someone already familiar with such a tool and the nomenclature, but otherwise it took a bit of reading, re-reading, and inspecting the tool before I could understand what the instructions meant. The tool generally seemed to work well and as intended. I did not experience the difficulty squeezing together the handles that some reviewers wrote of; perhaps different size rivnuts? (I was installing 6mm x 1.0) I noticed flakes of metal each time after I disconnected from an installed rivnut and, after fastening about 5-6 rivnuts, the mandrel threads became stripped and I was unable to complete the job (I only needed to install 16 rivnuts). Eventually I was unable to thread the rivnut onto the mandrel, so I visited 6 hardware stores (from big box to mom & pop) and found nothing. I then searched online and found only a complete set of mandrels on Amazon for $35 (I only paid $49 for the entire kit -- tool, mandrels, and rivets), so it made no sense to pay $35 more just to replace one defective mandrel. There are no singular mandrel replacements available for purchase. Too bad... I really wanted to like (and keep) this tool, but the unavailability of parts makes it a no-go for me.

Great for the cost.

Works great but not for confined spaces if you are working in a tight area due to puller arm length. The threaded ferrules are decent quality and are secure once drawn.

Good Idea, But Reliability Issues With This Rivet Gun

I really liked the concept of this pop rivet gun kit. The case is a nice touch, and I appreciated having the bits and some extra storage space for the included blind rivets. Everything felt well thought out and convenient at first. Unfortunately, after using it successfully a couple of times, I ran into a bad rivet jam. I was able to clear it initially, but problems kept coming back. I eventually had to take the tool apart more than once to try to fix it. At that point, it became more trouble than it was worth, and I had to send it back. It’s possible I just received a bad unit, but the issues forced me to switch back to my older rivet gun just to finish my project. The idea and kit are great, but my experience with reliability was disappointing.

Not for long-body rivets

First of all, let me say it's a good product, if it matches your needs. It works great with the included rivets, and other similar ones. In my case, I wanted to use some rivets that came with a toyota accessory (M6 rivets). The problem is that the mandrel neck on this tool is too short, and it would not engage the thread on the rivets. When I asked if they had rivets with longer necks, they said no. So yeah, it works well, but you'll be stuck if you need to use longer-body rivets, like the ones that Toyota uses. Vendor needs to make longer-reach mandrels available, and it would be a 5-star product.
