These use COB (chip on board) LEDs,which do not have the 'dots of light' appearance. They look a little like old style vacuum tubes glowing away in the dark... They are also sort of a yellowish color temperature, but that's actually kind of nice at night. Super simple - stick the parts together, poke in the ground, flip (internal) switch to On, Done! I've had other 'solar' walk lights, most of which died early deaths, but one nearly 15 years old IS still working (dimmly) , so have high hopes for these more modern devices. Also, I've tried other 'brands' that had very weak plastic stakes - these weren't an issue for my soils, but of course are not metal, so could be a weakness in really hard soils. As near as I've been able to tell, they stay lit the entire night (last I've observed them on is 4 am), and are EXTREMELY bright for solar powered LEDs. In fact, I had to space them farther apart than I had initially (about 2-3 feet) because they were a bit too overpowering!! I ended up with them set at 4-5 feet apart, which gives more than enough brightness for one lamp's light to reach to the next one....so these four will easily cover 16-20 feet of walkway. I have had to do some weeding to make sure they all get as much sun as possible (weeds were over growing the solar panel on top of one of them). How well they'll do in winter is TBD; I'll update this review then. (PS, I'll also have to move them off the wood deck walkway so they don't get clobbered by the snow removal people - but should work reasonably well as night 'edge markers' for them too (as long as I keep the solar panels cleared off!) Highly recommended!

I’ve had a lot of different solar lights and I’ve got to say that these are my favorites! They are all plastic construction but look really nice. Note that there is an on/off switch under the head, remove the head from the housing and turn it on before charging/ use. They stand 20” tall if you use both pole sections. The head is 3” x 3” x 7”. They are LED, but instead of a bulb they have a long filament that lights up as you can see in the pics. They put out an impressive amount of light, enough to light up a sidewalk at night. They stay lit all night during the summer, but I’m sure like any solar light the run time will be more like a few hours in the winter or even less during rainy/overcast conditions. But as far as solar lights go, these look and perform better than most others I’ve had.

These are nice solar lights for your walkway or garden path. Super simple to us…put them where you want them and let them charge up. With enough sun they will stay lit up all night. Warm white glow, simple design that blends with everything, and I expect at least a couple of seasons from them!

We love these lights. They were easy to assemble and install and put out a good amount of light with a pretty light design cast on the ground, and even though our yard is on the shadier side they still get enough sun to light up for hours. The lights are warm in temperature, it is entirely plastic, the outside of the light is black and the “glass” is clear as expected. I have been getting many compliments on them and overall I would recommend. (For reference, the other up lights and house lights in our yard are cool temperature, and the texture you see on the clear “glass” of the close up of the light is just dirt splatter from watering.)

These solar pathway lights are very nice! I have tried some other solar powered outdoor lights in the past. Right away I like that these are considerably taller than those other lights. I also like how brightly these shine at night. They are considerably brighter than other solar powered lights that I have previously used. Installation is very easy. Assemble the stakes. Remove some protective plastic bits. Switch the lights on. Stick them in a sunny place outside. Preferably someplace you'd desire illumination after dark. Voila! It's that easy! These lights are very attractive. They look nice in the daytime as they soak up the sun. They look nice in the evening as they light up my front stoop. They do not stay lit until dawn, but they work for about 8 hours on a full charge. I wish they stayed lit longer, but it's probably because they shine so brightly when they are on that they don't last thru the early morning pre-dawn hours. Other lights may stay lit for longer, but don't shine as bright. So, I guess you have decide what is best for you. I like these lights, they work well for us!

These solar lights have a modern look which can be challenging to find. They are dusk/dawn sensing and elevate landscaping. In my experience, they only last 4-5 hours once the sun goes down which is plenty for me. However how long they last might depend on placement. Many of mine do not get full day sun. They are easy to turn on and get in the ground. I like the shorter height option but it’s nice to have a choice. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I don’t like that the name brand is on the top on one side, it makes the light look tacky, however it’s easy enough to hide that one side. .

These are decent pathway lights.....although not as bright as others I have similar to these. They are as well made as most I've gotten and I do have hope they will last longer than most. Overall they are a decent light - I was just expecting a little brighter.
