(only complaint and easy solution) a lot of extra fluf is on it when you get it, but if you know how to optimize your pc. then its not such a big issue (please NEW programers, dont try to do it yourself if you dont know, because some items are STILL needed to keep your os's integrity on updates and hardware.) if you want to see if you can without being sure then this product does have a backup drivers page on msi, like most of their models. okay now the good/okay parts heat is what you would expect from a 13th gen i5 with this graphics card down throttled. the intake fans handle it well. fan locations are rear 1" section and both rear side sections. power supply will get hot even with it throttled down so i'd recomand keeping it on a cold non-insulating surface (but lets be real, most laptops need a cooling pad or cold ground stones to last so i'd say 4/5 there) battery life is based on low power mode, so gamers be prepared if you doing graphics heavy things for it to be shorter but its reasonable for what the graphics card pulls the graphics card alone makes this a great buy for only $600ish, as when you up its speed to its ideal with the i5 overclocked to its med/high range it will make games like cyberpunk run at high settings reasonably well (though you better add a cooling pad!) and lastly the keyboard and touchpad are the norm back lit keys and unlit touchpad. it has function keys for your basic needs and they can be reprogrammed easily enough to add/change to more options. over all i like it! ... show more

I was impressed with this laptop once I got it. It ran all my games right out of the box with little difficulty. I did increase the ram in this to 32 GB, only because I also work in 3D art and I wanted to ensure I could run those 3D programs without a hitch. Pros - Works great out of the box. Very nice laptop for the price Cons - Needed just a bit more ram for my liking Battery life can be a bit short depending on what you're doing. Sometimes the battery runs down in as little as 2 hours. My old laptop's battery would last 4 hrs minimum, 6 hrs if I wasn't playing games online. I wish the power on button was located in a different spot. Overall, this unit is a beast and I'm extremely happy with this laptop. ... show more

When I had a hardware issue, the seller asked me to contact MSI since they are responsible for quality and it comes with a 12 month end user warranty. MSI said they did not know the seller. That the serial number was bought from Walmart and the warranty was expired. Messaging the seller through Amazon again I got the same message 3 times more. ... show more

This is a great lil' laptop for the price. Def plays games, I run both WOW and FF14 on it and use it to flop around in bed, be lazy, and play games or do some writing or answering emails if I don't want to sit at the PC. It's was purely a self-care kind of buy but I can see someone getting this as their main PC as it should, and would very easily cover most of your needs that buying a larger desktop, keyboard, mouse, monitor would be equal to. If you're kinda broke but still want something that'll last you a couple years and let you play games while you save for something big and beefy, this is your guy. Or the very near equivalents also from MSI with bigger SSD and better processors. But this one would cover your butt for a good bit. ... show more
