The model is 15-ec0751ms. I checked its specs from HP support page and it is SVA display instead of IPS. Other than this, the laptop is decent for the price. Strong hinge, no flex screen build, high performance that fits most mid-range games and designing tasks. Love it. Update after a week: an upgrade for memory is needed since the shared RAM for amd vega graphic is reserved ~ 2Gb (5.9 usable out of 8GB). Thus, I bought another 8GB stick then resulted 16GB total. I've seen alot of reviews for this laptop, and so far from what I've seen this seems like a really good laptop for the price. I have high expectations and it meets all the recommended hardware requirements for all the games I play

The computer turned on but the screen never came on the seller (freedom Tech) does not exists the address they had on the box is not freedom tech but a piano repair shop with a disconnected number.. Do not order!!!

You get what you bought. Me personally I'm not to big of a windows fanboy. On linux if you install steam proton can pretty much play a lot of windows game in linux. I'm using open source drivers (nouveau), but for right now recommend the proprietary drivers for Nvidia. Yes there are 2 GPUs that run great. Played on windows (Rome total war 2 on extreme, fps is great for the price). update: Also if you are going to buy extra ram and you buy from crucial. Buy the DDR4 RAM with 3200 MT/s (Mega transfer per second) there are a lot of games (Dying light being one of them) that you can run just using the ryzen 5 CPU.     • Worked great for the first six months UPDATED
Laptop worked really well for the first six months, no issues with lag or anything. Was able to play overwatch just fine but then in the last month suddenly it doesn't want to run any online Multiplayer games on the GPU, it goes right for the CPU which cases it to over heat and shut down. i've looked online for anything that might explain this and even spoke with a friend who is great with computers, and we've come up with nothing.Not sure why it's doing this but i'm now limited to very few games i can play that wont possible overheat and destroy the laptop Update: finally found the issue and it had to do with a BIOS update that undid a setting in NVIDIA. For any with the same problem go into the NIVIDA panel and go to the physx tab to make sure it's set to the GTX processor ... show more
