It was bought mostly for streaming movies. The 17" screen is wonderful for movies & series. I also added some TV stations to it, so it doubles as a TV. 16 GB would have been enough, but the great pricing allowed me to afford 32 GB. PROS~ A lot of bang for the buck! I consulted with a PC tech and did a lot of research before settling on this laptop. Other laptops with these specs are hundreds of dollars more. *Quick & easy setup, that immediately upgraded and installed Windows 11 S for free. *Easily deleted unwanted Windows "S" in 2 minutes. I like using Adblockers, and other apps Windows blocks in "S" series. *Seamless streaming movies & series, without constant buffering. *Beautiful colors, decent visual, no glare, easy on the eyes. *Good sound, not "tinny." *Lightweight for a 17" screen. *Good speed. CONS ~ *The restart doesn't work in Windows 11, but there's a fix for it. It's not a PC problem, it's a Windows issue. *Fan could be quieter, but it doesn't run constantly. *On button, blue light is annoying at night, especially in a dark room. *Cord is on the righthand side, (when sitting in front of the laptop) when it should be on the lefthand side. The cord runs across the entire back of the laptop, or there's a dangling cord for most people. Most laptops have the power cord on the left of the unit. This really bugs me. *McAfee preloaded, antivirus trial is a miserable thing to have to deal with. Annoying popups, even after you buy, it. Removing it is problematic and takes a lot of work. Same issue with my previous laptop. *The warranty is limited, but don't let that deter you. My laptop was purchased on 02/09/22, and the warranty expires 11/01/22. I was told by the company this is because it's a 3rd party seller. I didn't realize it, but his rule applies to many things sold online, when not purchasing at select box stores or company direct. Amazon pricing of PCs are hard to beat, and their customer service is the best. I checked out several PC webpages before buying, including HP. They don't offer anything this nice, and don't come close to the price of this laptop with these specs. It's a good idea to buy all the warranty you can afford. One major problem can cost as much or more than the price of a warranty. I also like the extra help with drivers and software updating that ends when the manufacture warranty is up. I bought warranties for other things purchased on Amazon, and had a good experience the two times I needed them. If you have Spectrum, and want to stream movies from your PC to your TV, not all devices will work. Call the manufacture before you buy. Light weight, quick response. Easy to set up. I did not pay attention to the fact that it didn’t have an SD card reader, but I can adjust for that.
