This laptop has always been excessively slow. It can't really handle much compared to others in the same price range and doesn't feel much better than a chromebook. There is no separate right or left click buttons. The left or right side of the touchpad has to be clicked instead but it doesn't work half the time. If I click the right side of the touchpad, it'll register as a left click instead. It's beyond frustrating. On two separate occasions, there was some problem with booting up and it Windows had to go through a very lengthy rebooting/restoration process. The hard drive is always clicking. That all sounds bad but there's more. The hinge on the right side broke although I never dropped it and was always gentle when handling. The screen is wobbly now and I can't close or open it because it'll cause more damage to the hinge. I'll stick to buying a cheap used laptop and installing Linux on it next time. Even a laptop I bought back in 2012 for the same price was infinitely better in terms of computing power and sturdiness. This one was not meant to last. well, i got this with amazon as opposed to dell directly, or best buy. that being said, i got a two year warranty and microsoft included for a good price, and still had more money left from my tax refund. so, that's good news. still, it's slower then i thought, but i got a good price because i got the older drive with 16gb. ... show more

I bought this laptop because I really don't need anything fancy AT ALL! It was just supposed to be for my kids when they needed to do homework, and for me to use to search a few things on the internet and check my email.... THATS IT! It was RIDICULOUS! I seriously timed it just to prove my point, and from the time I turned it on to the time it was ready to actually use it took 15 MINUTES!! Now I am not one of these young kids who think if things don't happen in a blink of an eye, it is slow and I get mad. I grew up with dial up and so I am used to sitting and waiting on a computer. But this was worse than that. It would never fully load, when I typed on it, it wouldn't keep up, and it was always just turning off. Then to turn it back on, well that was quite the process that sometimes wouldn't happen that day. I am not techy in the least, I just want a computer to turn on, let me search a few things, and let my kids search a few things. I didn't think I asked that much. This computer didn't agree with me. So if you have the patience of JOB, this laptop just may be for you. If not, don't waste your time. ... show more
