  • The best over the air antenna
Color: Antenna plus J pole
I tried several different antennas before lucking into finding this one. Trust the reviews, bottom line is that it works really well and doesn’t require an amplifier, extra height or anything else extra. Just wish I had found it earlier. Far outperforms the other antennas listed in Amazon and would highly recommend. Received all of the local channels in Northern CA for me when others received about half. Easy to assemble, at least for me, too. Trust the good reviews, legit good antenna. ... show more

Excellent aerial antenna for the price. Easy to put up n set up. Crisp, clear picture quality n comes with everything needed n a 4 way splitter to attach 4 TV's. And yes, it picks up all of the channels available, if not, most. Super happy with this purchase.

  • Works well for 44 mile stations

  • Pretty good antenna for the money
Color: Antenna plus J pole
Antenna comes complete with fasteners and mounting post. Not a big antenna so shouldn’t be too offensive in a city or town installation. Unit is sturdy but a little challenging to put main shaft together. Using a flat surface to assemble unit makes it easier to fasten all the pieces. Range is limited but I picked up an additional station previous antenna couldn’t pull in. ... show more

  • Good antenna. Works perfectly!
Color: Antenna with J Pole + kit
This antenna is the best antenna I have owned. I live in a remote area in Puerto Rico and I am disabled, but was able to assemble it with no problem. The installation was also easy. Upon performing a channel scan, I picked up 37 channels some of them from the islands nearby. You will hear from some people on YouTube saying how this item fails and other crap. But for me it was a good find, I recommend it. ... show more

  • Adequate, but NOT a "200 mile range" antenna
Color: Antenna plus J pole
There are far better antennas available, but not at this price point. You get what you pay for. I would absolutely recommend this antenna if your expectations are reasonable. If you are looking for a "200 mile range" OTA antenna, you either haven't done your homework or your expectations are unrealistic. The product title and description from the manufacturer is misleading at best. There are NO "200 mile range" OTA antennas that will receive a digital broadcast television signal. They may receive a "measureable" signal, but it won't be anywhere strong enough to be usable on your modern TV. The very best, most expensive OTA atennas mounted 30-50 feet high will receive out to about 65-70 miles over flat ground. You've been warned. Having said that, I needed an OTA antenna for a station located 34 miles from me over flat ground to supplement my main antenna which points at several towers further away and in the opposite direction. I mounted the antenna 30' above ground pointed away from roofline and aimed it using a Sadelco signal level meter. I was able to obtain an averaged -26 dBmv signal at the antenna for the one station I was trying to receive. I also installed a Winegard XT preamp at the antenna which got me to -17 dBmv at my TV, which is strong enough to be reliable even in bad weather. This antenna, like comes disassembled in three sections which must be bolted together. It assembles using the included hardware into about a three foot long antenna. For comparison, my long range antenna that is just adequate for towers 65 miles away is over 9 feet long. In the antenna world, size matters. So at about three feet, this product isn't a "long range" antenna by anyone's measure. The hardware is plain steel, not stainless or zinc-plated, so it will eventually rust. Tje wing nuts for the pole mount are stampings, not even cast wing nuts. Just very poor quality. And the instructions are less than useful. You'll need to carefully study the pictures to see how it's supposed to be assembled. But if you're patient, you can get it put together. The included u-bolt mounting means the antenna is easily tipped up or down which is not helpful. In order to get the best signal the antenna needs to be level, not tilted. Unless you live on a mountain or deep in a valley, that's not a a good feature and it makes accurately aiming the antenna difficult at best. In order ti be able to rotate the antenna to vet the brst signal, the u-bolt must be loosened. Yiu can't hold the antenna while measuring the signal and with the mount even slightly loosened, the antenna droops. So accurately aiming is tough. Better antennas have two u-bolts that keep the antenna level while aiming. Despite the misleading product description, cheap mounting hardware, and poor assembly instructions the antenna met my needs. I wouldn't buy another, but I did make it work instead of hassling with a return. Your mileage may vary. ... show more

  • I'm Impressed with This OTA Antenna
Color: Antenna with J Pole + kit
OTA = Over The Air... verses cable, satellite, streaming, etc. I was recently a tech with a very popular satellite TV company. We also installed OTA antennas and often had to struggle to get OTA channels to come in well when the location is 50+ miles away from big city TV broadcast towers. This antenna seems to be a very good one... putting it together might be a bit confusing for some, but so far it seems worth the trouble. Now this product does NOT have a built-in amplifier (but that's one of the reasons I like it). Sure, a built-in amp might draw in a few more channels (or make some a little more clear) but it also means it will need to plug-in to electric power somewhere. I am 45 miles away from several TV towers and this manufacturer recommends trying the antenna indoors before installing it outdoors (which is always smart). I picked up over 40 channels indoors and the picture was perfect on most of them. I haven't installed it outdoors yet and that's the only reason I gave it 3 stars for ease of installation... but I will update this post once I do have it installed. I expect over 100 channels but it's really not about HOW MANY channels you pick-up, it's HOW MANY CHANNELS YOU WANT that you pick up. I happen to know that living outside of Houston TX there are only about 20-30 local stations that I actually want... many of the others are foreign channels or shopping networks that I would never watch. Even the best OTA TV antenna can't help signals much if you are 200+ miles from no where. But so far I am pretty happy with this product. I bought the full-install package that came with the mounting pole, brackets, and 40 feet of cable. I was pleasantly surprised they even included things like "pitch-patch' which are little tar squares to be placed between the roof and the mounting plate screws before it is tightened down. There are even mounting clips (and a few zip ties) to help with running the cable from the antenna to the splitter (which is also included with the mounting kit). The only thing that could make this better is a having a few more specifics on antenna assembly, so you KNOW exactly which antenna sections connect to the others and which end faces which. Also, there were no instructions for the mount kit but other than a wide variety of screws the kit looks fairly simple. * UPDATE* Nearly 5 months later and I am still happy with this OTA Antenna. Nearly every channel is crystal clear high definition. I have had zero problems except for a few occasions, when storms seem to have affected the reception of one or two distant TV stations, but those are far and few between. I'm sure you can buy bigger, better, more expensive antennas... but I still recommend this antenna and am quite happy with it. ... show more
