We always want to travel light, but we also like to look nice and not all wrinkly. This item is perfect for that because it's easy to carry, doesn't take a lot of weight or space, and it gets the job done!

This steamer is a little larger than I expected when ordering. That's not a bad thing but note that it's not super small. I actually appreciate it because the way the handle folds in it still doesn't take up a ton of space. The water reservoir is a little smaller than you would get with a home steamer this size. The great thing for me about the overall size is that the head on this is only a tiny bit smaller than my home steamer, and the unit itself generates steam at an equivalent rate. This means that I may have to fill this up more often but when I travel I've got a good quality steamer that I can rely on vs some of the tiny ones that are like doll toys. lol I would recommend this for anyone who travels and needs to frequently steam clothing. It would honestly also be great for a home where there isn't a lot of room. It would fold and tuck in a drawer nicely. I would have loved if the water reservoir was 30% larger but it's not a deal breaker at all. ... show more

This is a little too heavy to travel with, UNLESS you're a) going away for long and checking baggage, b) work in an industry such as fashion or photography, where you need it for work or c) are going to an event such as a wedding and need a good steamer. Otherwise, I'd try to find a lighter option. It does have two voltage settings, often needed abroad and it has a carrying pouch, a brush that snaps on and a glove to protect your hand. The reservoir for water is pretty generous. I like this better for home use, great for suit jackets, it also deodorizes your clothes, such as those suit jackets and cashmere sweaters, so you can get more wear out before you have to dry clean. And it's great for things like drapes. I bought new drapes and I saw the fold marks, but they were staying because who's ironing drapes? NOT ME! But those fold marks are not long for this world with my new steamer!!! ... show more

I wanted an iron that I can take with me for travel, though this isn't an iron it serves a similar purpose. The steamer itself is very compact and not too heavy, the handle folds away so it's easy to store. It even came with a nice travel bag and a protective mitten. The operation is simple, fill the reservoir with water, they recommend using distilled water to prevent mineral buildup. Turn on the steamer, takes about several seconds, the device will let you know when its ready to use, and you're good to go. There's a switch on the top for 120V or 240V operation. It has a brush adapter at the end, holding it up next to clothes, it does a great job at removing wrinkles, especially for my dress shirts, exactly what I was looking for. Can't really say anything bad about the device, perhaps you can't hold it at certain angles as the pickup tube for the water moves around a lot so it may not pick up the water. Other than that a great device to remove wrinkles for on the go. ... show more

I don't have an iron, haven't owned one in probably over 15 years. Hate them and hate ironing. When I was working in nursing I had to find a way to de-wrinkle my scrubs quickly because I worked in private duty and A hospital setting, so I was changing scrubs several times a day, and discovered how effective the wrinkle releaser sprays were (won't mention favorite brand ). But in addition to being effective and efficient, they are also costly, so I'm elated to have found this travel steamer. YES YES YES AND YAY YAY YAY. Works great, heats up fast, doesn't ruin your clothes. I do wish it was totally portable though, as I'm not crazy about having to find an outlet close to where I'm using it. But that's a minor thing, because the amount of money I'm saving not having to buy a can or 2 a week of wrinkle releaser, is worth the corded issue. ... show more

It weighs only 1.72 pounds and it comes with an 8 foot cord. For safety, it has an automatic shut off feature. It stems for 10 continuous minutes. It has a leak proof water reservoir. It is 1200 watts of power. This steamer can steam in both the horizontal position and vertical position. This means you could steam a garment on an ironing board or you could steam the garment while it is still on a hanger. This compact steamer can even be used at home to steam garments or to put a professional touch on a pair of drapes or curtains. It folds into a compact position, and it slides easily into the included caring pouch. It also comes with a “safety mitten“ that protects your hand from the steam.
