  • Poor quality control
This is the second Newair wine cooler I've ordered in 2 months through Amazon (returned first one for the same reasons). Both were the black stainless--they look very nice when you first unbox them, and seem to run quiet and keep temps fine. BUT the corner finishes are very poorly done. All the mitered corners show the unfinished silver aluminum/metal edges and are not painted in black stainless, which gives the unit a very cheap appearance. Very disappointing! And both had either a dent of odd indentation somewhere on the outside of the unit. ... show more

  • Temp Control
I've compared two of these units side by side. Vendor sent replacement after the replacement sensor did not fix the problem of the top zone saying the temp is colder than it really is. The process of replacing the sensor showed me that the two zones are not very well segregated. You can see in the image a gap in front of the display panel so you know it isn't really separated by much. Don't expect to set reds at 55 (bottom) and whites at 42 (top) and for the top to ever see 42 degrees. The bottom zone is dominant and on this (55/42) setting, the top zone of the two I tested never got below 49 degrees. The panel will tell you it is 42 on the top but it's probably not! I can only speculate that the location of the sensor betrays the actual temp in the top zone. I rate this unit a "dual zone wannabe" that indicates incorrect temps in the top zone, unless you set both zone temps very close to the same. Not what I bought it for! ... show more

  • Nice unit, but makes noise when compressor runs
Nice features, seems to work well, but makes a "breathing" noise when the compressor runs. New Air support says this is normal. I feel it should not be normal. They said they would replace the unit If I paid all shipping costs - that could add up to half the price of the unit. I will not pay that. So, the support (who appeared to have English as a second language) was pretty non-existent. If a company won't stand behind its product and tries to just get customers to go away, I would not do business with again. ... show more

  • Noisy unit
Makes a lot of noise. Not sure if it is problem with this unit or it is problem with the model.
