Overall, this is a good product. Made very well and sturdy. Once installed it provides a lot of space for storage that is out of the way of people and car doors. The only complaint is the instructions and associated options are confusing. I knew my installation would require some thought. Unfortunately, the instructions are misleading in some sections and confusing as well. For instance, if you decide to secure the wire to a wall stud, it states in the instructions it has to be >26 inches. You'd assume then they give you enough line to go at least a few inches more than 26 inches if needed. They don't. Its little things like this that make installation confusing. There were a few steps I had to undo and start over. Small details in the pictures but not explained anywhere make a difference. Also if you want to hang a second shelf below the first, your options for where you can hang the second shelf are very limited. I had purchased a second 2x4 shelf with the intention to hang it below the 2x8. I intended to offset lower shelf slightly. You can't do that. Would I recommend this product, yes. Just know if you don't have a straightforward installation with perfectly spaced joists or studs, it can get complicated. ... show more

Best thing we ever did for our garage! Totally recommend. This smaller size mounts a bit different than larger units but still very doableโ€ฆ. You need a serious drill bit and some know how and maybe a helper but so worth it.

Installed the 2x8โ€™ and 2x4โ€™ in an L-shape. They are very sturdy and assembled pretty easily. I was able to do the entire install by myself. I installed a cleat along the wall using a 1x2โ€ board first, which made the install very quick and easy since the entire back piece could just sit there and was automatically level. I plan on getting another 2x8โ€™ shelf for the garage soon. ... show more

I want to preface my review by mentioning that the quality of this rack is exceptional, and it certainly can hold an awful lot. The reason I dropped a star off of my rating is due to the frustrating instructions- NewAge really needs to revise these, as they mix both the masonry installation instructions with the wood stud installation instructions throughout the manual, and also require you to flip back and forth. Furthermore, the pictures are a bit misleading, and the instructions could be more clear. As a result, I had to buy more carriage bolts (finding grade 5 is a royal pain in the rear) because I only found out after mounting the rack that each wall bracket didn't need 2 bolts, only the middle one did, even so the picture and exploded view showed otherwise. With all of that being said, it's still a great rack, just allocate enough time for the installation so that you can thoroughly understand the instructions. ... show more

My husband installed 5 of these in our garage. This is an amazing product that helped to clear the clutter. We have some very heavy items in them and the shelves are extremely sturdy. They do take some time to install. My husband is a huge DIYer so he had no issue other than the time investment. The price of this time is comparable on Amazon to other big box stores. The availability of the white shelves was hard to find after covid. The price also went up. But we were happy to find a 5th shelf to add to the others we had already installed. The parts exploded view was all that was needed to assemble the rack. Mounting was pretty straight forward. It requires a 3โ€length 3/16โ€ drill for the pilot hole, not your typical jobber length.
