Good idea, but not the sturdiest. It's pretty flimsy if you're trying to use it as a replacement. We've made it work and it definitely helps just not quite what we expected.

Just got my first SUP recently and this NEW-Vi Deluxe seat has been a great accessory addition! As a beginner, I wasn’t sure how comfortable paddling would be, but this seat completely exceeded my expectations. The gel cushion keeps my back and tailbone happy, even after long rides, and the tall backrest gives me the support I didn’t know I needed. I love how securely it straps on; zero slipping, even when the water gets choppy. Bonus points for the handy storage bag, too. It’s made learning to SUP so much more enjoyable. Definitely glad I made this my first upgrade!

Worked great on my sup as I am old and don't like to stand all the time. Well made and it looks great. Glad it came with a storage bag. Having back support makes it so much more enjoyable. This seems like it is pretty durable and should last, especially for me since I don't use the SUP nearly as much as I would like to.

We bought our kayaks used; while they came with seat backs, they weren't taken care of and were in bad shape. I didn't think it would matter much, but I've realized that my back (and tail bone) DO think it matters A LOT. This set is really nice, and I'm super pleased with it. The seat and back support are really good quality and clip on easily. The straps can be adjusted to fit any kayak...ours are the mid-size (not a kids' size, but not full-adult size, either). I was able to get it adjusted to fit well with no issues. The gel cushion is where it really makes me happy. This cushion is thick and squishy, and my tail bone says, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Granted, it's not connected to the seat and back support, but I'm okay with it. If you flip over a lot, that might be something to consider. You might want to rig up some way to tether it to your kayak. Otherwise, it's wonderful. It comes with a stretchy cover so you can take it out and let both pieces dry. It's wonderful; kayaking isn't a backbreaker anymore.
