I received this yesterday for use in the shower. I have to say that the sound is very good with a better tone range than I expected in a speaker in this price range. At about 60% volume it was quite loud enough in the shower to overcome the noise of the water. At higher volumes it gets quite loud and there didn't seem to be a lot of distortion. I also like the fact that it's square and not round, as will sit nicely on the shelf in the shower and not roll away. It can also be hung and comes with a clip but no cord. The one thing I am concerned about though is the durability. First, the whole case is made of hard plastic with the exception of a rubber cover that goes over the connection ports. If you were to drop it onto a hard surface, like the floor of the shower, I expect that it will break. Also, and I've seen complaints about this failing in other reviews, I think that the charging port is a weak spot, in part because it takes a fair amount of force to push in and remove the charging cable, and therefore the solder joint between that connector and the circuit board is under a lot of stress when plugging in and removing the cable. If that joint fails the unit can no longer be charged. In order to lessen the chances of that joint failing I'd suggest not charging the unit unless it actually needs it. I know lots of people, myself included, are in the habit of hooking up things like this to the charger after only using them a little while just to make sure that it's fully topped off. I would suggest waiting until this unit is near low battery before charging, unless you have a specific reason to need it to be fully charged right then, say like before taking it to the beach where it's going to run for a long time. This will lessen the number of times the solder joint is put under stress. Also, I'd suggest being as gentle as possible when pushing in and removing the charging cable, as opposed to just yanking the cable out when it's charged, as those quick pulls are more likely to cause the solder joint to fail. As I indicated above the charge cable connector fits very snugly on the unit I have and the temptation would be to give it a good firm pull when it's time to remove it rather than slowly coaxing it loose. All in all though for the price I think it's a good deal as far as the sound goes, and only time will tell how durable it is. ... show more

Great little speaker with very short return window! Bought 2….one died right at the end of the 3 month limit. The other lasted a little bit longer…died after 4 months. So actually a piece of junk! We spent $27.99 each for under 4 months use and now can‘t return because the return window is 3 months. So we are out $55.98 for 2 speakers that died right outside the return window. Dude this speaker is amazing. It's lightweight and good material. I literally dropped it the moment I opened the box and not one scratch on it. I haven't tested out the water resistance part yet because I don't plan on getting it set, but I've read that it works. The sound is probably the best part it sounds amazing almost like it could be from a much higher priced speaker! I highly recommend if you're on budget ... show more

I just needed a little Bluetooth speaker to have in my bathroom to listen to podcasts while I shower or while I'm outside on the patio, and this speaker does fine for both. It's audio quality is okay (don't expect Bose quality), but it does have enough volume to hear over showering. Sometimes the signal intermittently drops, even if my phone is right next to it, causing sputtering to the audio, but this doesn't happen all the time. The speaker is built of a strong plastic and is water resistant (but I wouldn't recommend intentionally submerging it in water). Overall, a good little speaker at an expendable price. ... show more

I've had this speaker for about a year and two/three months now, use it everyday for a few hours and it still works great. I love it. The only bad thing about it is the power/USB/memory card cover that helps keep any water out, if it is closed all the way it pushes on the memory card which can cause it to pop out ... so the trick I use is pushing down three of the four corners when closing said cover. The corner I leave slightly ajar is the one with the rubber attachment coming out of the unit itself. I ride my bike in the rain all the time and this little speaker just keeps going, if I turn the volume up all the way its so loud and I can hear it from at least thirty feet away. For the price and performance its one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon. Hopefully they can fix that memory issue I pointed out above. ... show more
