  • Works great.
I used this on an old rotor tiller that had slightly different wiring into the pins on the switch. I switched the pins in the mating connector, and it works perfectly.

Worked perfectly with the snapper rear bagger. The ground isn't hooked up but wasn't necessary for use.

  • Works, but

  • 3-wire switch for older magneto-based systems
Bought an old tractor that someone had tried to retrofit with a new 7-pole switch. Almost every wire on the tractor was burnt up because nothing they did worked. Goes to show that 5 extra minutes of research can save hours of frustration. This switch only has 3 poles - one that goes to the starter solenoid (S), one that goes to the fused battery + (B), and the third that goes to the magneto (M). When the key is off, the M is shorted out and will cause the spark to stop. Run position opens the magneto circuit, and the start position will feed the positive battery energy to the solenoid. The switch needs to be grounded through the mounting stem to work properly. Mine was an older Simplicity garden tractor. I know these will work with many older magneto systems but not all. ... show more

  • Works on an older troy bilt horse
You just have to either cut a swap the wires or just rewire. Its easy Since the oem ones are no longer in production

  • Broken in package
Seen made in USA, but new means never ever worked, has two positions, only one contact worked, so if 50% is good then it's fine! Nope junk right in the package
