  • Good quality. Advice & a few small issues
Sturdy and comfortable, definitely adequate support. More comfortable than my expensive bed frame I gave up for this so the kids could have more room to play in our tiny farmhouse. I sleep better in this bed due to the support. I am 5' tall and I built this by myself. Took 2 hours, and a little bit of problem-solving. But it can be done, so long as you are able-bodied. The worst part of putting it together was the snaps at the end. Hurt my thumbs and many didn't go in for me. I ended up having to ask for help from someone with larger and stronger hands. He even had to leave 2 of the snaps out, because he couldn't push them in. Another thing to think about when assembling is how to get the mattress on. Being my size, I could not do it myself. I did leave off a side rail so that would not be an obstacle. I had to ask a tall friend to put it on. I tried everything I could think of to do it myself, but I just couldn't. I'm about 110 lbs. The bed is very wobbly. It was frightening the first few times, then I got used to it. The bed is sturdy and is certainly not going anywhere. There is also an option to anchor it to the wall if you're worried. There is no opening at the top of the ladder, so you will have to climb over the rail. That took me a lot of getting used to, having to swing my leg and twist to get in and out of bed. The ladder rungs do hurt, but that is also something I go used to. I saw a suggestion on here to use pool noodles. I don't think that is a good idea. The rungs are cylindrical metal. If you put a pool noodle on there, it will spin, and you risk injury. I also would recommend not wearing socks on the ladder rungs, since they are smooth and cylindrical. There are tapes that are rubbery that would be much more beneficial if the rungs are that much of a bother. I'm sure a hardware store would have something helpful. With my height, it takes me a few minutes to change the fitted sheet. I imagine if I were taller and had longer arms, it would go quicker, but it still would not be an easy process. ... show more

  • It’s decent
Eh, decent product. You get what you pay for...I ordered 2 by accident and I’m glad I did because one was missing parts!! The directions are a little confusing—they aren’t as specific as they should be so I found myself having to take things apart and re-do because certain holes needed to be facing a certain way, certain parts didn’t match up well, la la la...the other reviews were pretty spot on and I pretty much was prepared for what I got. (Grateful for that!) It took me and one other person to build it and other than the bad directions, it didn’t take too long to get it done. In the end, we could both lay in the bed (we are over 200+ lbs) and it still felt sturdy. If you’re looking for something cheap and you have the patience it requires to build it, go for this product. If you want something better, spend the money on it...... ... show more

  • Great in my room with taller than normal high ceilings
Love my new bed thank u so much, the r little scratches all over from metal on metal during shipping but given the color it hides the scratches at least until u get up close, it was packaged very well but despite that it still got 2 to 3 inch scratches wherever the was metal on metal during the shipping process but I kinda expected that as shipping can b a difficult process for some items to take n not all problems can b prevented but overall I am very happy with the bed, it was easy to set up alone n came exactly as described with all necessary tools required to put it together, all though u need to b careful using the allen wrench as it can strip the bolt holes n the round the corners of the tool severely, I was fortunate enough to make it to the last bolt b4 rendering the tool useless, here's to hoping I do not need to move any time soon as now I would need to replace the tool b4 I could even attempt at taking it apart, using such a soft metal for the tool I assume is what is to blame for that ... show more

  • Works
Got it for my extra bedroom for a guest bedroom and liked cuz I could utilize more space in it not bad it's going to take you just under three hours to put together. Instructions not bad better to kind of just look at the pictures then try to understand what they're saying I assembled it in under 3 hours it holds me and another person so little over 300 lb you may need to shim the legs up just depending on your floor there's no adjustment kind of felt like I don't know if it was my floor the design I was kind of tilted back a little bit when I tried it really haven't laid on it too much I put an 8 inch memory foam mattress on it which seems okay we'll find out when the kids are in town that's why I gave it three stars really haven't had much time ... show more

  • Wonderful buy for small rooms
So it is a good height, not too short but still leaves decent headroom with my memory foam mattress. Good quality metal and i (a 19 y/o petite female) was able to put it together by myself though i wouldnt recommend it. I am 5'2" and i do have to bend down a bit to stand underneath but not terribly. It wobbles slightly from movement but its not concerning. Gives me plenty of space underneath in my small room to place other furniture. Only thing i will say is the ladder is slightly awkward. There is no opening at the top of the ladder and the rungs hurt my feet a bit because they are round and a bit thinner than that of a normal ladder but still works as intended. ... show more

  • Hard to assemble and shakes
BUILDING : It’s built by hand using Allen wrenches. Highly recommend an electric screw driver. But some parts HAVE to be done by hand because of the angles and the drill won’t fit there. Definitely takes 2-3 people to build. Make sure your holes are lined up before you assemble. It’s easy to flip and there’s no “top” or “bottom” stickers. Speaking of stickers, they don’t come off easily, and your left scraping them off, which doesn’t always work. There’s a massive warning label on one of the beams. That one makes the bed look tacky and hard to come off. I understand the liability, but it looks like a bumper sticker. THE ACTUAL BED : It shakes and feels unsturdy. Also the ladder rails are thin and it hurts climbing up and down bare foot. Need some sort of cushioning. It’s also shorter than expected. For me, that’s a good thing, because I have low ceilings. But it’s not as tall as the picture makes it out to be, even having measured before purchasing. ... show more
