  • Runs amazingly after install!
Replaced factory unit from 1989, truck runs amazing! Only problem was that the four screws in the picture were NOT included. Luckily, I was able to use the two nut method on rhe threads and was able to extract them from the old unit and successfully install them on the new unit without a hitch!

  • Was able to fix my truck with this.
After getting a check engine light and the engine hesitating I had my truck scanned at autozone. It came back as a bad mass airflow sensor. They didn’t have it in stock so ordered one here. Came within two days took me a while 30-40 minutes to install and done. After a test drive check engine light went out and life is good again. Both seller and product highly recommended. ... show more

  • Almost had engine damage
This sensor helps the computer regulate air/fuel ratio(amount of air verses amount of fuel). This one gave the computer the wrong information and the engine ran in a "lean" condition(not enough fuel). This can damage the engine, so I cut the test drive short and returned the part. The sensor was not calibrated. This is the second one I got. the other one ran the engine well for 6 blocks, then the engine quit and couldn't be restarted. I had to have the truck towed home. I will NOT buy another. Thanks for the refund, Amazon. I hope this helps you to maintain parts quality. ... show more

  • So Far So Good
TLDR: Fits and operates like an OEM reproduction. Some additional hardware may be required if you do not have OEM components on hand to reuse. Long read: The MAF arrived including a hose clamp and the 4 studs needed for attaching the filter plate. All other hardware would need to be purchased or reused, ie nuts and bolts to mount to airbox and/or brackets. Installation was simple, only complaint is the metal housing appears to be a softer metal and the threads could easily strip if the hardware isn't aligned on installation. I purchased this to replace the original MAF on a 1990 Toyota Pickup 22re which had failed internally. The replacement has appeared thus far to solve my issue. No CEL, runs as can be expected of a 200,000+ mile Toyota engine from 34 years ago. Hopefully that remains the case with time and testing. ... show more

  • I’m happy to say that this AFM works great!
I found some Toyota tech forum websites that detailed resistance measurements to ensure it’s working good before you install it. I’m happy to report that all of those passed and I installed it. My 94 Toyota 22RE truck is running better than it has in a long time. I had temporarily jumped my fuel pump on to get it started til I got my new air flow meter. What’s really nice is having a one-year warranty. ... show more

  • Lasted a few months
Not sure what the design flaw is here, haven't taken it apart enough, but it just started dying on my while driving, got a code for the AFM. Tore apart the wiring all the way back to the ECU, thought it surely couldn't be the AFM, but the wires were perfect. I finally tested the AFM with a multimeter, using the FSM specifications, and sure enough I had an open loop where there shouldn't be one. I think maybe some solder broke, not sure, but it left me stranded for 6 hours before a tow truck could get me. I bought an OEM raman off eBay and it worked the way it should. ... show more
