Kept getting a rough idle error light on my 2014 Chevy Silverado. Tried all the main stuff first, clean the air filter, etc. and none of that fixed the error. I was getting ready to order new fuel injectors (expensive) and decided to give this a try first. It didn't seem to clear the error at first and so I pulled the trigger on new injectors...however, after a couple more days of driving, the error finally cleared so I was able to return the injectors.     • Get this one for your GMC Sierra 1500
This is the one to get for 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 V8. I had a very rough idle and replaced the Air Flow Sensor with the NAPA Echlin brand from my local store. I also cleaned the throttle body and replaced downstream o2 sensors. Idle was better but the RPM needle still fluctuated up and down just a little bit during idle. When driving it felt slightly jerky at certain speeds but nothing to trigger a check engine light. I finally felt the need to resolve this and after watching videos online I thought maybe the NAPA sensor I bought wasn’t good. I checked it first for debris, loose screws, where air could get in, all hoses were fine, then sure enough I purchased this Hitachi sensor and swapped out and my engine runs perfectly smooth. After 300 miles my check engine light came on. MAFS malfunctioned.

    • P1101 error code
Had a check engine light on the dash P1101 error code. I changed the air filter and the mass airflow sensor. Check engine light still would not go off. I cleaned the throttlebody which was dirty and now the light disappeared and the remote start works.
