I replaced the Mass Air Filter sensor. Took about 10 minutes. Very easy. Did not fix the problem. But discovered the air filter was pretty black. Off to get a new air filter. Talked to clerk. He said: "Oh. You may need to reset the computer when you replace electrical parts. Disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes, and then re-connect it." Indeed that fixed the issue. Not exactly the same size as the original MAF sensor in my children's 2007 Hyundai Elantra. I had to drill out one hole. It was off by 1 mm. Not that big of a deal. Only took a couple more minutes to install.

I'm still gonna give this MAF sensor five stars even with it being it didn't fit right outta the box. The side of the sensor that attaches to the engine filter box was just a hair, and I mean just a hair to large. I did however get it to fit by sanding it down a little bit. Holding the part that fits into the box facing down, so no plastic got into it, and holding the sand paper around the part while twisting back and forth. The plug fit perfect and the live data from the ODB came back on point. Besides it's literally the easiest sensor to change out, so, so what if I had to do a little more work. It was an extra ten minutes. And you can't beat 30 bucks instead of getting robbed with the OEM. ... show more
