Started off this large spool by trying to wind a bobbin - I ended up discarding the first few yards because the thread did not wind tight on the bobbin. After adding finger tension to the bobbin winding process, success. After threading the machine top and bottom, I began sewing. Within minutes I got a thread fray on the top thread (using new needle & clean machine). I have now sewn at least thirty minutes with this thread and experienced no other problems. Four stars.
