Excellent parental controls and educational content
This has been the perfect tablet for my kids! I love that there are so many educational games, books, and learning activities included, so they can have fun while learning. My favorite feature is the parental controls through the app. They’re easy to set up, and I feel like I still have a lot of control over what my kids can access, how long they’re on the tablet, and what they’re doing. That peace of mind makes a huge difference. It’s been a great purchase for our family, and I’d definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a kid-friendly tablet.

Stunning display and incredible battery life – My son’s favorite!
I am absolutely impressed with the new Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro tablet. It is truly a beautiful device; the 8" HD screen is bright, crisp, and perfect for the games and educational content my son enjoys. It’s a significant step up in terms of visual quality compared to older models. One of the standout features for me is the battery life. It lasts a remarkably long time, even with heavy daily use. My son uses it every single day for reading, watching videos, and playing apps, and I don't find myself constantly hunting for a charger. It’s reliable enough to take on long car rides without worrying about it dying halfway through. The 'Pro' version is perfect for the 6-12 age range, as it feels a bit more grown-up while still offering the peace of mind that comes with Amazon’s parental controls and the sturdy protective case. If you're looking for a high-quality, durable tablet that your child will actually use and enjoy every day, this is it. Worth every penny!

**Product Review for New Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro** I recently purchased the Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro for my 9 yo son, and I couldn't be happier with this investment! This tablet is a game-changer for both kids and parents, making screen time both fun and educational. Design & Durability: The first thing that stood out to me was the sturdy design. The kid-friendly case is not only vibrant and appealing but also provides excellent protection against drops and bumps. As a parent, I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing the tablet can withstand the rough and tumble of daily use. User-Friendly Interface: Navigating the tablet is a breeze! The user interface is intuitive and tailored for kids, allowing my child to explore apps and games without any frustration. The Fire HD 8 Kids Pro comes pre-loaded with a wide range of educational apps and games, making it perfect for learning while having fun. Parental Controls: One of my favorite features is the robust parental controls. I can easily manage screen time, set educational goals, and choose which apps and content are accessible. This level of control has helped me ensure my child is engaging with age-appropriate material while also promoting healthy screen time habits. Content Variety: The inclusion of Amazon Kids+is a fantastic bonus! My child has access to thousands of books, movies, and shows that cater to various interests. It’s great to see them so excited about reading and learning through interactive content. Battery Life & Performance: The performance of the tablet is impressive. It runs smoothly without lag, even when multiple apps are open. The battery life lasts for hours, making it perfect for long road trips or family outings. the Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro is an outstanding choice for parents looking to provide their kids with a safe and enriching digital experience. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a tablet for their children. It has truly exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to see how much my child continues to learn and grow with it!

Sturdy, Appropriate Entertainment, Made for kids.
My autistic son loves his tablet it stimulates his brain with appropriate content, and helps a ton on the road to doctors appointments and etc. I love the parent control features, I love the appearance, and it’s very sturdy and can handle a few throws… which my son has done a few times.

great tablet with a few significant caveats
Style: Fire HD 8 Kids Pro
Digital Storage Capacity: 64 GB
Offer Type: 1-year Amazon Kids+
Color: Hello Teal
I've bought several Fire Tablets over the years for my two boys, usually upgrading every 2-3 years. The age-appropriate content for younger kids has been great and you can't beat the price. I just bought a 2024 Fire 8 HD for my 8 year old to replace his 8 from 2-3 years ago. I made sure the old one was backed up and that the new one was linked to my Amazon account so that all the content would transfer. There are a few things that I can't figure out how to get from the old tablet to the new: personal photos & videos and Minecraft worlds and add-ons purchased in-app. I pay for extra Amazon Photos storage and paid probably $40 or so for all those Minecraft add-ons, but somehow we're not able to keep our stuff?! My son has spent hours building his worlds in MineCraft and is very upset that there's no way to recover them. I saved his Minecraft progress by making sure he was always logged in through Microsoft when he played, but he Fire tablet seems to block the Microsoft account from acquiring the purchased add-ons. Because of this, he doesn't want to upgrade his Fire now, but the battery is starting to go so there's no other option. I tried transferring the photos and videos via Bluetooth, but the tablet refused to connect to my desktop PC. I tried finding the files on the SD card, but the SD card would not load on my PC either. When I look in the Files folder on the tablet, it appears to be empty. I wish Amazon would address these known issues; there are no working solutions on the forum and many parents and kids are frustrated!

Great Value, Easy Setup!!
This is my second Fire Tablet. I really like the case it comes with, it’s very sturdy and makes it easy to carry around. Installation was quick, easy, and self-explanatory. The battery lasts a full day of nonstop use, and both the display and sound quality are great. I was also able to exchange my old Fire Tablet for a $30 rebate and received an additional $5 credit. Overall, it’s a great, affordable tablet for kids, backed by Amazon’s guarantee. I highly recommend!

Finally, They Fixed The Battery!
We have gone through about 4 earlier generation Amazon Fire tablets in this household. The thing is, after about a month, you're lucky to get 15 minutes of use before the battery is at 0% and after a year the batteries were just Done. Would absolutely not hold a charge anymore. It was with great reservation I bought a fifth Fire tablet, when it was on sale, but I have been VERY pleasantly surprised by this one! Even now, a year later, it out performs my other brand tablet in longevity and has way more features. Also, I love the amount of control I have over the kid's profile. You no longer need third party apps to limit volume, restrict certain apps (like the camera), or limit screen time. You can even set it so that your child can only use certain features after a threshold of educational content has been met. Very neat. I decided to keep the Kids+ subscription after the free trial because the amount of apps available is so robust and they are all ad free, no in-app purchases -- safe for little hands! All in all highly recommend. Completely different experience to the earlier generation Fire tablets we had.
