    • Turned out great after testing, reinstalling and tightening new belt more !
Good so far! It didn’t start that way though! I was going to return it. It was installed and then made a bunch of noise and the new serpentine belt got hot. Besides that the serpentine/tensioning bolt broke ! We learned that this happens a lot. The Bolts came in an adjusting assembly kit from Auto Zone. After the alternatof was removed it was tested (free at Auto Zone). The alternator tested to be good! We learned that the the serpentine belt gets hot and makes a lot of noise >if the belt is not tight enough.< The Happy story is that the new alternator was reinstalled with new belt and tensioning bold. It works fine so far! I am not returning it now, since it seems fine. 😊 Other comments: 1/Shipping was fast! 2/ Installation ( with help by watching you tube) with the tools was “kind of” but not totally easy” due to bolts breaking and needing the serpentine belt tightened to make it run right. Second installation was easy. 3/ Alternator tested to have good output. Happy so far with this purchase! Thank you! ... show more

The brushes wore out in my original alternator on me 2002 Sienna at 2002 Sienna so I figured I’d tell it rather than repair it. I called autozone and they wanted $267 plus tax for a rebuilt and they would have to order it. I told them I can get a brand new ine delivered for about $115. I think there’s auto parts stores that have been ripping us off for years are in trouble now. I was skeptical because it was so cheap so I put new brushes in my old one in case this one crapped out in my trip. After 3000 miles it’s working great. ... show more

This alternator did not work. I had to sleep in my van in a parking lot. Then pay quite a bit more for one that my trusted garage would guarantee. They were kind to let me try the cheaper solution. But really did not work, even on a brand new battery.

I believed it mat be failing after 4 months as flickering got worse and the car stalled three times in two days. Confusing as the car started easily every time. So I tested alternator. It passed, starter and battery passed. Noted the positive terminal was tight but connections still loose. Added a terminal shim and all is super stable now. $5 fix!! Thrilled!!
