I got this as a travel charger for my Victus 16 gaming laptop, so that I can keep this one in my bag and leave the original charger plugged in at home (HP Part #: M85389-003). I’ve been testing it out for the past few days, and it seems to work just as well as the original. Like the original, the computer recognizes this power supply without any errors or slow charging warnings, and it works fine under heavy load, such as during gaming. It also doesn’t seem to get any hotter than the original under load (they both get quite hot). This charger looks extremely similar to the original and appears well made, but to me it feels a bit lighter, and the smaller detachable cord seems to be lower quality than OEM and does not attach as snugly to the brick. The only other small discrepancy I have noticed is that it takes a few seconds longer for my laptop to recognize this cord and start charging when I plug it in. But once it does recognize it, it’s smooth sailing. Considering HP wants ~$250 plus shipping for an OEM spare charger, I’ll take this budget friendly substitute any day. I’d give it 4* when compared directly to the OEM charger, but 5* once price is factored in. If I do happen to encounter any issues with it in the future, I will update this review. ... show more

I have ordered 3 of these over time for my convenience. I travel with my laptop for work and want a power cable to be readily available wherever I am. I have one next to my couch, in my bedroom, and my vehicle. I do carry another in my laptop case when flying for use on the plane and in the airport while waiting for my flight. Perhaps excessive for some, but it's just how I am. I had to replace the laptop battery a while back because my original charge cable did not have the safety features my newer ones do. These newer ones have overcharge protection, short-circuit protection, over-heat and over-voltage protection. Those features allow me to keep my laptop plugged in without worry and keep the battery at peak performance and longer available power while unplugged. ... show more

I like to keep my power supply plugged in at my desk, and keep a spare in my laptop bag. That way it is easy to just grab my laptop and throw it in the bag when I need to take it with me. No getting down under the desk to unplug it and no more trying to thread the plug back through the grommet in my desk when it is filled with all the other wires and stuff. My ZBook 150W power adapter functions well but tends to get hot. This charger fits perfectly and addresses the problem. Just a note: you can use a higher-rated power adapter as a replacement, but not the other way around. Also, remember to choose the correct connector size.

I am not exactly sure what I have here. The brand says Haxyla on the listing but the label and case appear to be a genuine HP LA10 power supply. It came in a plain brown box with no documentation at all, which would be unusual for HP, but it came with the exact same protective wrap as my OEM HP power supply and the same embossed shell. It also seems to perform exactly like OEM. I don't know if this is a clone or a factory second or what but so far it works great and charges as fast as the original power supply.
