Spicier than LAST TO KNOW but equally as sweet.. well as you can with two stubborn and foul mouthed main characters. I really liked Mathias ' story, was really looking forward to seeing more of him and learning about him and you yet to do that in this book. A few things kept me from giving it 5 Stars * in LAST TO KNOW Mathias is always saying "m'kay". In this book all about him, he says it a total of 3 times. I don't k ow it made him endearing in the last book and I felt it missing here * this book needs an EDIT. Not sure what happened but while the words are spelled correctly, they are not the right words. Like 'his' instead of 'this'. It happened enough that it took away from the story. * not a fan of the girl having to always suck it up to get the guy. Granted this one was better as both Remy and Mathias technically met in the middle, but it looks like it could be a theme with this series. *Granny should of been there more in the end. ... show more

I wasn't in love with the start of this book. As I grew know the characters the beginning of the book made sense. It's that love hate relationship if you have never had one it may be hard for you to connect. However she nailed it the back and forth the hate one day love the next it's real !! Then the story progresses and I fell head over heals for these characters! I love how she wraps in people from the first book that made me smile but she went as far as to pull in characters from the other series my heart grew 10 times for this book ! This book is different then the first and different then most actually ! It doesn't start out with 1 strong n bold character and 1 mild quiet timid character ! Both of them are strong bold and go get what you want personalities and I adored the change from the usual boy saves girl girl falls in love - this was real and I loved that about it ! I'm usually not big on book reviews I find it very difficult to not only get across my own personal connection to them but also not spill every detail and ruin the book ! However the reviews on this one didn't do it justice so many negative things said ! Please give this one a fair shot it's simply amazing I can't help but wonder if the people who had a hard time connecting just haven't been in that situation before ! ... show more

    • Horrible characters
I guess I should have expected horrible characters, I mean the premise of the book is revenge. But, I was hoping for an otherwise likeable girl who made a wrong decision out of pain and is conflicted... Instead, she is a shallow, one dimensional party girl with a very high opinion of herself and a pretty low opinion of everyone else (except her crude grandmother, for whom she is supposed to be caring). The male lead isn't any better. He is loud, cruel, and inconsistent. The author seems to think smart ass remarks constitute chemistry - they didn't. ... show more

    • So in love with Mathias!
I really enjoyed this story. Mathias is so dark and moody, so getting to see more about him and getting to see him open up was amazing! Remy and Mathias dated in high school and were in love, until one day when Mathias stomped all over Remy's heart and changed their lives forever. Remy never imagined ending back up in Virginia and back in her home town, but she's there to take care of her grandma and never expected to see Mathias again. Remy and Mathias's reunion is quite hilarious. Both of these characters are spit fires and when they are together you never know what will happen. I enjoyed seeing these two together, not because they seemed to tame the other one's moodiness, but because they truly are amazing together, and the bedroom scenes are HOT! Seeing angry Mathias show a kinder side to him, definitely makes me like him a lot more than I did in Never Too Late. You can tell he truly cares about Remy, but never knows how to show it until one day he does and BAM things take a turn for these two. Remy has also been hiding a secret from Mathias from 7 years ago, and it is heart breaking. I wanted to throttle her for not telling him sooner but at the same time I do understand her reasoning behind why she kept quiet. Unlike Emma and Maddox's story, this one is hot, steamy, has a lot of cursing, and is just raw and angsty. I couldn't put this one down and fell hard for Mathias. I loved seeing more of Emma and Maddox and what was going on in their lives as well as seeing Ezra and Hayes. My new favorite character though has to be Remy's grandmother. Oh my god... she is HILARIOUS! Since this book is only told in Remy's POV we really don't know what is going on with Mathias except for what he tells Remy. But his actions are definitely worth taking notice, you can see how much he really cares about Remy. These Wade boys are amazing and when they fall in love , they fall hard, and Mathias definitely showed this in Never Too Late. I adore this series and am definitely jumping into Ezra's book now. I love the Willow Creek boys and am looking forward to more books in this series! ... show more
