I have always had sensitive skin and was told years ago by my Dermatologist to stick to certain skin care & make-up lines such as: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for cleansing the face, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion for a Facial moisturizer, and Clinique for make-up products, along with Neutrogena. "Keep It Simple" she said. And she also said that Neutrogena was a great skin care/make up line. I have very fair skin that is hard to find the right color match for. Even, Cliniques' foundations cannot blend or get me a bottle match - the foundation will turn to a yellowish streak! When I found the Neutrogena SkinClearing Liquid Makeup I went with the Natural Ivory as it seemed a close match to a tone and blend, and I liked reading that it was "light" feeling, it had "shine" control (I have that well known "T" Zone)- and helped with those obnoxious blemishes that love to taunt us. When I received the foundation it worked out great. I put it on a small area by my jawline and waited a few minutes and it didn't make that yellowish streak I was a afraid it might. It blended very well with my skin. It indeed felt very light on my face, I had no reactions to it (no redness/itchiness/flushing, or dryspots some people say they get with foundation. And, I found that "just a little" will go a long way. I also did notice a bit of a difference in the blemishes that I seemed to be getting - as the foundation was not "clogging down on my skin" :) *****Fiver Stars for excellent lightweight skin clearing coverage :)

I buy this on subscription, have been using this product for years. I love the light feel and coverage you get. My skin tends to be on the more pink side and this foundation evens out my complexion without giving me a chalky look. It covers the pinkness, and lets my color show through without being cakey. I have my girls wear this brand also, and helps cover their acne/blemishes.

I worry a lot about my skin absorbing makeup as I value having a healthy, makeup-free face most of the time. This is the only foundation I've found that I can wear all day, with coverage that looks like my actual skin (not cakey or powdery), and feel guilt-free because this product helps my skin become healthier while I wear it (unlike most foundations). I don't worry as much if I can't get my makeup fully washed off, as this product is not as harmful for my skin as most other foundations would be if worn too long. It's been around for a long time for a reason (tried and tested), and once you find your shade, it's tough to want to ever switch to any other foundation afterwards. The only time I've used a different foundation was after getting sunburnt during a vacation. The salicylic acid is not good for sunburns. So once my skin healed again, I went back to using this product. Pairs well with Rimmel concealer tube for under-eye and creases.

If you're super fair-skinned like me, don't waste your money. It sucks because I love this formula more than any other because of how prone I am to breakouts, but there's just really no way for me to wear it without looking ridiculous. If Neutrogena ever get a clue and make lighter NOT orange shades, I'll be first in line. Until then, they can keep it and miss out on making a ton of money on a huge section of the market. P.S. I ended up using Clinique Even Better in shade Custard and it matches great. It doesn't have salicylic acid in it, but as long as I am very careful to double cleanse after wearing it, it doesn't seem to break me out like all the drugstore brands do. Maybe look into it if you're pale and having trouble finding foundation that won't leave your face hurting.

This foundation is very sheer, almost like a tinted moisturizer. It does good at preventing acne but what's the point of putting foundation on if it doesn't cover spots you need covered Mind you, I don't have acne often but I get slightly pink acne scarring marks like on my chin. It doesn't help much for those. It feels lightweight though so with a concealer this would be bomb.
