Love this bird feeder camera. This replaced another brand I had for 2 years that just died and I received no product support for. This is so fun. It was easy to set up - letting it charge for a full 24 hours before placing outside. I do have a solar panel that I connected to it (was purchased separately and not from this company) that works AMAZING. I have not had to take this down to recharge the battery ONCE since setting up in early July 2025 (it's Sept 2025 now). If I had one hang up though, it is the charging. The camera isn't removable from the feeder so you have to take the whole thing down and charge it. There should be an easier way in future models to remove the camera for charging. Picture quality is pretty good, videos are also good. I have noticed though, when going through the activity feed, it will skip by hours. It'll show activity from the morning and then skip activity the rest of the day until the evening (see photo). It is pretty sensitive in that if we're outside doing yard work it will catch us in the yard and save that activity clip, so I can't imagine why it would skip such large chunks of time. It happens frequently too, so it's something I need to look into. Overall, super cute, easy to install, easy-ish to clean (would be better if camera came out) and set up and so much fun. ... show more

Arrived quickly & was easy to put together along with setting up the wifi. Can't wait for my bird seed to be delivered so I can check it out. Only issue I had (not NETVUE or AMAZON fault) is my phone I guess is too old. The app keeps crashing. My brother setup on his phone so I can at least watch from my computer desktop. ... show more

Look for something else. This is my second one. The previous generation was a great product. Unfortunately the old one stopped working. Bought 2 new ones for my wife as a Christmas gift thinking it is the same product. It is not. 1. The wifi would not connect to the exact same router as the older one. I had to get a wifi extender to connect. 2. They nickel and dime you for all the features that was on the old model. You want longer recordings... Pay up. Bird identification? Pay up. 3. Local recording on SD card? NO. The slot is there but you cannot record to it. Basically you are renting the camera and have to pay for it to work. Why it is so expansive is beyond me. (greed) I am in the process of looking for something to replace this with. Birdfy basically took the joy out of bird watching and replaced it with a drain on your pocket. If they were honest they would sell this for $30 and charge you a monthly fee. TLDR: Disappointing product and service. Look for something else! UPDATE: April 9, 2026. Birdfy support contacted me and did a GREAT job on helping me with my issues. 1. The wifi issue was resolved by adding a wifi extender. 2. My old model was a gift and include bird identification. The difference here is AI Lifetime and AI by Subscription. I picked the wrong option at purchase. 3. The memory card in the older model did not support continuous recording. All clips get's saved to the cloud, even in the old model. So bottom line is I did not properly research the models. I'm a very happy customer now. Thanks. Works great, offering numerous bird captures each day very reliably and with clear images. I haven't used the bird identifier feature since we get the same half dozen or so kinds of birds at the feeder each day and I already know what they are. My only negative about it is that we barely get a day's worth of use from it before all the food has disappeared. I'd prefer that it have a larger food bin. Maybe we just get an abundance of birds here or maybe we need to buy food they don't like as much. :-) ... show more

We purchased this bird camera late November 2025 and were so excited when it arrived. We enjoyed it so much through the winter that we bought a second one (first week in Feb 2026), with one in the front yard and one in the backyard. Unfortunately, over time we noticed the battery life getting shorter after each recharge. The batteries take about a day and a half to fully charge, yet now they only last around two days before needing to be charged again. Eventually, the constant charging became so frustrating that we stopped using the live camera feature altogether. At this point, they have essentially become very expensive bird feeders. Since both cameras are experiencing the exact same problem, it doesn't appear to be an isolated issue. There seems to be a defect with either the batteries or the charging system, and it's very disappointing considering how much we initially loved these products.
