I unwrapped the pillow and read the instructions, but I was too impatient to wait 2 days for it to inflate. I massaged and broke up the clumps of filling, and it started to expand. I left it alone for a few hrs and it expanded more and firmed up. There is no smell at all. The covering is a soft velour. The lap table is larger than I expected. The cup holder is the size of a soda can. I have a case on my tablet, so it doesn't fit the slot, but it holds my phone upright for hands-free and video calls. The slot has holes in the bottom, so it facilitates a charging cord. The table is well constructed, and the legs fold in and out easily. Overall, it's a keeper! Be warned, the thing comes vacuum packed so you won't be able to use it right away. Requires a no heat trip through the dryer or a bit of shaking and a bit of time. After about 5 minutes of shaking it wasn't terrible. After a day of sitting around it was basically normal. For sitting up in bed it's pretty comfortable and the head rest pillow can be detached. The color is nice and the arm rests work well. The lap desk is kind of a nice bonus for the price of the pillow. I would love to see it weighted with a detachable weight in the front so when I place the tablet in the tablet holder it doesn't lean back a bit. The cup holder is fine for a normal glass or a can of soda, but it's too small for some of my cups. It's decent to eat off of and seems steady enough. Since the legs fold it's easy to fold up and put off to the side. I read off my tablet with the lap desk in place and it works great for that. Both the cup holder and tablet holder come out of the desk so they can be cleaned easily. ... show more

I thought it would be cheaply made. But it was heavy and the material is soft. It works for supporting by back.. the desk also helps me to be able to work on my computer…

I have to imagine this is stuffed with memory foam scraps for other products. I got this for a really good price considered and when compared to two other brands that sell similarly for the large size. I ended up buying an additional cover in another color and it was reasonably priced. I donated the laptop desk which seemed like it was really poor quality. This was vacuum sealed and never puffed up. Nothing like the site. No physical support. Worse than bed pillows stacked up when one is bed ridden. Don’t be taken in by the “discounted” price. The tray is flimsy and will not hold all that it claims to. Sending this back.
