For many years I have confused Nespresso with Nescafe. I thought it was some sort of quality instant coffee. Then at Thanksgiving I had my first experience with a Nespresso coffee making machine. I love it! It's very easy to use and it makes, I think, some the best tasting espresso and coffee that I've ever had. It was very surprising to me. I bought this Essenza for the smaller footprint. It fits very neatly on my kitchen counter. It gets the job done and makes not only espresso (about 1.4 oz) but also what they call espresso lungo which is about 4 oz. I have been grinding my own beans and making pour-through coffees for ages BUT in comparison I really think this method is tastier, much faster, super convenient and I rather enjoy the sound the machine makes. About pods: This machine is what they are calling an "Old Line" machine. The new-line machines use differently shaped pods. The pods are not cross compatible. The new line pods are more expensive as there are fewer companies making and selling them. Whichever type you buy there are espresso pods and also what they call Lungo pods. Lungo pods are more coffee-like strength-wise. A neat trick I picked up is to push the espresso button to make an espresso and then when its done also push the lungo button to add another 4 ounces of hot water through the pod. It's a way to make an Americano (a watered-down espresso). It has so much more flavor than most cups of brewed coffee. Lungo is a different pod.

This machine is small, heavy, well-made, and makes absolutely excellent coffee. It's so easy - just pop in the capsule, touch the preferred coffee type twice (either espresso or lungo), and it's done in about 90 seconds. I absolutely love it. By the way, if you haven't tried coffee capsules sold by Rosso Cafe, you MUST TRY THEM! The coffee is fantastic. Get their assortment, and you can try 8 different kinds, with 10 capsules each. Bellisimo!

I have owned my Nespresso Mini for 4 years and have never had a single problem. It is very simple to operate. One of the features I really like is the ability to customize the amount of water used when making the Espresso size and the Lungo size. This little beauty makes excellent coffee and the coffee is MUCH better than what a Keurig makes. As a mini, it will NOT fit the needs of somebody who wants to make espresso for a crowd; however, for 1-4 people it is awesome. There are now several other companies (like Peet’s and Starbucks) that make capsules for the Original Nespresso machines so there are lots of coffee options to choose from. I highly recommend the Nespresso Mini!!

This machine works great, but after a few years, it started to leak. I thought it was because I used some pods that weren't Nespresso, but they leaked with them too. In any event, I had to replace the machine and decided to try the Vertuo. This particular seller was very good in helping me return this item and I highly recommend purchasing from them.

You'll never get true espresso from any of the nespresso machines as they don't give you the fine control OR fresh coffees you need to unlock that sweet syrup. That said, you can get quite nice strong coffee from them if you buy quality coffee capsules (nestle's are iffy) or pack your own and use them to make small (15-20ml) amounts of brew from the 4-5 gram capsules.. The technology is certainly convenient if only a 5 or 6 on a 10 scale in flavour results. Of the nespresso style pressure coffee makers this one does very well, is standing up to multiple times a day use, has a nice small form filter, and is easy to clean. Once you've decided to do the capsule bit, this is as good as it gets for functionality without trying to get fancy.

I bought this item as "Used - Like New." It arrived in its original packaging including all manuals, guides, and so on. This item is intended to ship with a selection of Nespresso coffee capsules. I was happy to see that even the capsule assortment was included. The item was in perfect condition, meaning it had no scratches or flaws. I believe it had been returned without ever having been used. I set it up in fewer than 5 minutes and within 10, my son and I were enjoying our first perfect espressos.
