Only works if the circuit breaker is turned off per documentation provided. So if electricity to residence is lost the emergency backup light will not turn on until the circuit breaker is turned off for that circuit. I do not remember reading that in the description of the product prior to purchase. Doesn’t make sense to me as an emergency backup light should turn on at the instant electricity is lost. ... show more
