I've been eyeing home Arcade cabinets since Arcade 1-Up released the first Pac-Man machine, but figured I'd wait until the game selection was worth the cost and time of setting one of these up. Then the prices increased and it was suddenly harder to find value in them. This cabinet however completely alleviated my concerns. It has a large and great selection of classic SNK games and it just feels good to play. My only complaint is that you can't add new games to the cabinet and they left out all of their top-down bullet hell plane shooters. Past that, fantastic product.

This bartop arcade machine has a lot to offer. You get 50 fantastic games for the MVS (Arcade) & AES (Home version) of the Neo Geo System which is 1/3 of the Neo Geo's library. Most of its games are fighting games, but there were many fighting games for both the MVS & AES if you know Neo Geo. The joysticks have microswitches similar to an actual Neo Geo machine, and the buttons are OK. They aren't Sanwa buttons, but they still do the job. You can save your progress at any time, and if you want to enable the blood, it's in the options menu, which is easy to get to with just a push of the button. While there aren't any shoot 'em ups like Aero Fighters or Twinkle Star Sprites, it's still a fun home arcade machine. Overall, I believe that you get your money's worth, and I recommend this to any fan of Neo Geo's fighting games, Metal Slug series, arcade sports games, and some classic titles outside of those two genres.

Overall, the MVSX is a nice, little home version of the original Neo-Geo arcade machine. Good selection of games, although it leans a bit too heavily on one-on-one fighting games. Some of the older Neo-Geo classics like Ninja Combat are strangely absent. I also wish the screen was a little bigger. 17" is a bit too small when 2 people are using it at the same time. The biggest complaint are the controls. The joystick is too flimsy and the buttons feel extremely cheap and fragile. Thankfully, there are Youtube videos that show how to upgrade them.

It is a nice machine and love the aesthetics. I got it primarily to experience the NEO GEO games because I do not have a lot of experience with them and this route had arcade feel. My unit did come to me with a defective screen as pictured. I tinker and mess with electronics and ultimately found out that the cable going to the monitor (not to the emulator board) was not properly seated. It is since working fine now but I had to completely tear down the cabinet, remove the monitor from its housing and then reconnect the main cable. It works great now but was not the open it up and good to go experience I was hoping it would be. This should have been caught during QC.

The media could not be loaded. This is how I unbox this product to check it and this is what I found I purchased it brand new but it came to me with the screen worn and white stuff around the screen and also a scratch on the top of the game
