Size:32mm 8p LOVIMAG Neodymium Cup Magnets - 1.26"D x 0.3"H ( 8 PCS ) Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. These pot magnets are 1.26 inch (32mm) diameter and 0.2 inch (5mm) thick. They are magnetized through the thickness. They are composed of neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Maximum working temperature is 176 F (80 C). Neodymium pot magnets are made of a powerful Neodymium magnet sunken in to a steel shell meaning that the north pole is on the centre of the magnetic face and the south pole is on the outer edge around it. The steel pot increases the adhesive force of the magnets giving them an incredible hold for their size. An added advantage of pot magnets is that they are resistant to chipping or cracking following constant impact with a steel surface. These magnets are countersunk on the magnetic face and can be fixed to a surface with a 5mm screw, pot magnets are also available with boreholes and threaded studs.

I purchased these magnets multiple times for several years. I was using them to mount temporary call boxes and signage during special events. The original magnets were AWESOME !. Then, the manufacturer decided to change everything about the item. Different composition, thinner and smaller mounting hole. The seller didn’t point any of the changes out in their listing, instead they claimed (once contacted by me) that these were “new and improved, even stronger than before”. NEWS FLASH, they’re worse !. They’re weaker with less holding strength, weaker as to durability as they break easily if you tighten the slightest bit and aren’t worth your time and money since you’re purchasing them with the belief that they are 95lb holding strength magnets, they’re not. So, even if you’re careful enough not to break the majority of them, they DO NOT have the magnetic holding power of the old version and DEFINITELY not even close to a 95lb classification, so you’ll end up like me and have to search elsewhere for a true, quality 95lb magnet that will perform as it should. I have complained to the seller and Amazon but nothing has changed so BUYER BEWARE !!! I hope this helps you when making your decision and I hope the seller and manufacturer eventually return to the original version. UPDATE 09/12/2021 - I finally remembered to add a couple of pictures comparing the original magnet on the left, to the current version on the right. You can plainly see for yourself that the original magnet on the left was thicker. The new, thinner, weaker magnet on the right is not only weaker regarding the holding power, but also weaker (less durable) and highly prone to cracking/breaking as shown in the second picture. This new version is JUNK, TOTAL JUNK !. I’m still searching for an acceptable magnet like the original version, if anyone knows a good source please let me know. Thanks !

Ok, it's not as bad as it might seem but if you do get two stuck together it is difficult to get them apart. Slide them apart rather than trying to pry them away from each other. Not much to say. They are better than expected. So I look forward to using them for a project building removable acoustic panels for my office space. With these magnets and washers, I should be able to attach them using washers to the wall and move them as needed.

I purchased these magnets to make magnetic handgun holders using my 3D printer. I was very happy with the results. My homemade version works better than the ones selling for $20 each. Once my friends see this I'm sure I'll be making more.

thy are pretty strong but not strong enough for my current project. also thy can not lift 95 lbs each, but thy can left 30 lbs for sure with the right metal and surface. so ok i did a test with some iron weights at lest i think there iron. i tied 2 of them to make 20 lbs and it could not left it up but not so well. but it could have some thing to do that the weight did not have a smooth surface. then i use some other metal i do not know kind metal. and it has holes on it big ones. i then tied it on the the plats and did the left test again. and i was able to lift them up with no problem. so i think it will depend on the type of metal u are going to use, and the surface it is going on to. because the iron weights did not have many hole just the one, and it did not let up as well. but i think the surface needed to be smooth. because it felt like the magnet wanted to come off. and the small round metal piece i used after had many hole, but was able to left it up way better. ok next i then added 2 more weight, of 5 lbs each to total the weight to 30 lbs. and it could still left it up as well i then added 5 lbs more then it failed. at this point I can not tell you the exact weight it can left because I don't have one pound weights but I suspect that maybe it can lift a pound or two more. the bottom line is thy can left up 30 and maybe they can do a pound or two more but not 95 lbs. also this is going to depend on the type of metal you are using it on, and whether the metal has a smooth surface or not but smooth is best. Note: you can add more magnet side to side OO or OOO or more to give it more lifting power 2 magnets was able to lift the iron weights like nothing. stacking them will not give you more lifting power only by putting them side by side. for theses kind. i lifted the 20 lbs with 2 like this O O to see if it will be stronger and it was. adding more add more strength. so all in all thy are good magnets but not 95 lbs wow good. i got them to use as a door magnet and it work too good. that i had to glue 3 pieces of Felt fabric on the magnet, to make it a weaker pull force. or the door be way to hard to open. after that it works great. why only 4 stars because it is not a 95 lbs pull force. but i only tested the one not all of them. ok until next time i hope my review helps you all good bye

These magnets will not stick to each other magnet side to magnet side. They are all polar opposites so it only sticks to the back side of the other magnet. Will not work for applications where you want the front side of one magnet to stick to the front side of the other magnet. As crazy as it sounds that is what I need them for, sticking them face to face but these magnets will not allow me to use them in this fashion.

These worked well for what I needed, I screwed them into a piece of plywood to hold some hands tools, hammers and sawed mostly. It holds them well and was a lot easier than building a custom holder. And a lot better than using a pegboard. I did notice that they only hold strong on one side. They probably can't by used to hold things onto a metal plate without the screws. The metal cover is very smooth though. I put some on my cabinet and moved then around without any scratching. I need more...

I am using these magnets to hold several single, and double bladed axes to the wall of my garage. They have no problem keeping my axes securely attached to the wall with nothing else supporting them. One magnet per axe is working just fine but two is better. Very strong magnets.
