I have only good things to say about the product. But for other meteorite hunters who are new to the sport, I would like to add that rocks which are only slightly attracted to a big ceramic magnet are also only slightly attracted to rare earth magnets. I thought the stronger magnet would stick better to a rock with only mild ferromagnetism. It does not - to my surprise! (Magnets are strange!)

I just received these and they already have rust on one of them: that’s crazy! It’s even more crazy that I would have to return them all to just have that replaced. They are strong magnets but if they already are rusted doesn’t seem like they will last.

Ok first off, bought a pack of 2, one magnet was broken in several pieces. The pieces were all stuck together. It was extremely difficult to get them apart. The magnet is SUPER strong. Too strong for normal everyday use. Installed the magnet on the door and it was stuck really tight. Had to give it a yank to get the two pieces to unhook from each other. Ended up pulling the screw out of the door, and the magnets remained locked light. I would say that you should use this magnet for something you do not want to move, not something temporary or repeated use.

Very strong magnets. Very small mount hole, works great with the provided hardware but if you need to use different hardware you will need to find some with very small head size.
