Everybody overestimates the strength of their magnets, but it depends on the steel it's attached to also. These (115# 1/4 x 20) magnets came in a small ziplock bag, and I almost couldn't get them out. They stuck to each other with such force I thought I'd have to get a pry bar to get them separated. In the end I used a towel to protect my fingers and pulled, twisted, pried and finally got them separated! I use them to mount a Milwaukee charger on the side of my toolbox and I didn't want to drill into the toolbox. Let me describe the process. The magnets fit perfectly in the corner holes of the charger bracket. I approached the toolbox area I had cleaned with alcohol, just for cosmetics. As I got about 3" from the toolbox, the bracket jumped to the side of the toolbox and stuck so hard I had to use a screwdriver to pry it loose to reposition it. There's no sliding it, it just went "WHAM"! Glad I didn't have my finger in between, or I'd still be calling for help.

The media could not be loaded. Excellent magnets, they’re quite strong, be sure to watch your fingers for your safety. I used two of these magnets to hold a portable dust collection hose that’s about 20’ long and 3” diameter. Does just dandily. See video. Great value. My only complaint is a huge pet peeve, I ordered a 1/4-20 thread pitch which would typically take a 7/16” wrench to tighten the nuts… guess what they were… metric. Imagine my surprise and frustration when I got to the third floor of steps and found out that the 7/16” wrench I had with me, was NOT the correct size and had to waste a bunch of time and steps to go get a metric wrench from the shop, for something that was indeed threaded as 1/4-20. What an oxymoron to combine both SAE with Metric. Haha

The magnets are decently strong on a perfectly flat surface. If you like said surface, get the rubber coated version.

Boy, when they said "super strong", they weren't kidding. I bought these to make some custom mounts for my Google Nest cameras so I could attach them along with larger IR illuminators to my metal barn. Yes, the Nest cameras stick to metal, but I needed to achieve an angle of view that the camera and its mount found difficult. The magnets are beasts and hold well to the building. The threaded portion is perfect for attaching my custom plates and illuminators. Nice clean threads. I paired them with these 1/4"-20 wing nuts from Amazon: https://a.co/d/cXNP4T9
