I ordered this Nemo tensor ultralight sleeping pad, based on reading multiple reviews and comparing it to similar items at similar price range. Believing I was getting the best bang for my buck. I ordered it and received it on a timely manner and it appeared to be as described. Due to work I was not able to test/use for several weeks. When I did get a chance to use it, it would not stay inflated. I contacted the seller who said I should go direct with nemo because of the long time that had elapsed since I had purchased this item. Nemo said that I should send the photos and explain the issue. I did and explained that I could not identify where the pad was leaking from. After that nemo send me an authorization to send the pad back to them for a warranty review, which would take up to nine days. I had to pay $20 to ship the pad back. Nemo was very good replying to my communications and while they were not extremely fast it was always reasonable. After about a week I received and email saying they would honor their warranty and they agreed with my description of the problem. I also received a gift card for $229 which is the amount I paid originally for this pad. When I tried to use the gift card this specific pad was out of stock. Which was very frustrating. After waiting several days I saw that a similar item was on stock the Longbow Alpine's ultralight pad. I thought I ordered the extra long extra wide one but received the mummy. This is not a big deal because it is what I had originally and it is slightly lighter, but a bit perplexing but after reviewing the communications from nemo the invoice clearly states mummy. I also had to pay an additional $31. $21 for taxes and $10 because the longbow is $10 more. I’m testing the new pad now in the hope it is as good as all the reviews say it is and hope is because it is expensive and after this mini Oddessy I hope it is worth it. I gave it 4 stars because an expensive item like this should have better quality control. I am not crazy about having to spend the extra money and the long wait times but I do appreciate that the folks at nemo stood behind their product and did the right thing. I have a nemo sleeping bag and I believe I will purchase their products again in the future. ... show more

Not the lightest pad I own but close. This is however the most comfortable and has an R value warm enough to be my go to pad for cold weather backpacking.

Basically space age technology, confortable warm and quiet. If you really want to take this to extreme cold temps you might want to throw a short foam pad underneath. This is expensive but really cant be beat.

    • COLD Sleeper Gets Comfort, Too!

Super Easy to inflate/deflate. Total comfort for Side-Sleepers. WARM as TOAST! As is, if the pad was any lighter, they’d have to reduce the effectiveness. Just wish they’d make this 25 inch wide version in a couple shorter lengths, like 40” and 60”, for us short ladies.
