  • Keeping my power supply charged all the time.
When I first received this I thought there was a problem because I plugged it into my backup power bank and it wasn’t charging. Turns out there were two problems; the power bank’s battery was completely depleted, and the solar panel was in a spot that wasn’t quite sunny enough. I moved the panel to a very sunny spot (8+ hours a day) and it eventually charged up the battery fully. Now it is working to keep it fully charged all the time, even when it’s not a really sunny day it still charges fairly well. The panel is light weight and comes with a couple adapters to get it hooked up to various accessories. I still needed to buy one adapter because my DC input was even smaller than the adapter included. That cost me $6 (for two) and works perfectly. Check your DC input first so you know if the solar panel is ready to connect or requires an adapter. ... show more

  • Sturdy construction
Upon pulling the panel out of the box I was impressed with the quality of construction. Well anodized frame, convenient stand and a high quality anti reflective glass layer. Having both a coaxial barrel plug and MC4 standardized connectors make hook up very flexible. The only drawback is that I was not able to get full expected power from this panel. Based on the time of year, Mid-September and Latitude, 40.7N on a cool day I should be able to generate approximately 86W. On the day I tested taking into account the temperature of the panel in full sun which measured 130 deg F I am expecting a derated power of 75W. Results of my test were not close to that. Open circuit voltage was 22.8VDC, short circuit current was 4.58 amps. After connecting to battery charger, I was able to generate 14.31VDC at the 4.2 amps which gave me 60 watts. To verify this, I connected a 60-watt incandescent light bulb with inverter and the solar controller was no longer able to charge and keep bulb lit. The battery was slowly losing voltage. At full retail price of $100 I would not recommend, however with the Amazon Prime price of $89.99 plus the offered coupon of $9, this is not a bad deal. The panel will produce more power in mid-Summer and as long as you plan accordingly this panel should provide good year-round performance. ... show more

  • Inexpensive and performs
68 watts in direct sunlight and around 20 watts with intermittent cloud cover. It performs as good as two other more expensive panels I have. It doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles the others do, but I don’t need anymore USB ports for God’s sake. I will be ordering three more for a total of four to charge my Jackery 1500. I live in SC and we lose power for various reasons year round. So far great value for the money. I will update my review if anything changes for the worse. ... show more

  • The best Value and quality for under $200
I am using this panel to charge my 300 watt solar generator. I am receiving about 67 watts in and charge time from zero to 100 is about 5 hours give or take due to clouds and direction.

  • Update... One of the panels works
The panels are high quality and amazon does a great job in shipping the panels as the boxes had no dents or scratches. The panels are better than fold-out portable brands. For me, I don't live in a hot place so having a black panel would not suffer from the heat. New: The company ascertains your questions and concerns quickly. As such, I had a problem with one of my panels which is shown in the old section, regardless they sent me a replacement panel. If you have sent an email via Gmail to the support at Nekteck make sure you check the Promotions tab since the email gets placed there. Old: I purchased two panels and I thought both panels are performing correctly but one has a defect. I did not realize this till later as both panels yielded an output of 150w. When I went to use just one panel I soon learned the problem of one panel was only getting 60w output versus the other one is outperforming at 91w. I measured the open voltage and the good one is 24v and the bad one is 15v. I have sent the support an email about this problem but I have not gotten a response in almost a week. ... show more

  • Functions well!
Hooked up to a Beleeb 20 amp MPPT controller. When the conditions were right, there was no problem with this panel producing 5.5 amps at 18.3 Volts to equal the 100 watt panel rating.

  • Easy to set up.
I bought this to charge my Jackery 1000. I should have gotten a 200 watt but this 100 watt managed to charge it 3-5% per hour in the Pacific Northwest in March. I imagine it would work great with a smaller Jackery. Customer service responded via email promptly when I had questions. I plan to upgrade to a 200 watt n the future but happy with this in the meantime. Can’t beat the price! Seems extremely well made. ... show more
