We do a fair amount of woodworking. Building cabinets now. Never had these space blocks before but they are super convenient and more accurate than using a tape or scrap wood for sizing. Have found myself using these frequently. These are well built and love the case to keep everything in.

These blocks are great guys. They are relatively inexpensive BUT not cheap (very good quality for the price). They are precisely machined and etched. They come in a great case with foam cutout inserts. I didn't think I would need these, as I could use a rule or adjustable combination square (like my 6" Starret combo square) which worked fine. I was wrong, these are much more efficient and accurately because it takes a lot of the human error element out of setting up your machines (table saw and router especially). The 1"x2"x3" block can also be used as a square to square up the blades on you miter saw, table saw, band saw table etc.

Overall I like this set of measuring blocks, and will use them for setting up table saws and other woodworking projects. They're solid aluminum with a nice finish, and seem to be accurate. The case seems durable with nice well-locking latches, and a nice foam interior with cutouts for all the blocks. The only grip I have is that the blocks are labeled in a possibly confusing way. All of the blocks except for the largest one are 1/2 inch tall, but they're labeled with their respective widths on three sides. Two sides have an arrow next to the measurement. These are the sides that are of the given measurement. Then one side is a measurement without an arrow next to it. This side is not the measurement listed. It's just a label for the block, on the 1/2 inch side. So if you are in a hurry or aren't paying close attention, it's easy to mistake the 1/2 inch label side for the side that's in the given measurement, especially for the mid-range measurement blocks that are about the same height and width. Check out the image I included. The sides without the arrow are both 1/2 inch, not 3/8 or 7/16. The 1/2 inch label side isn't even the side facing up in the case, so it seems to not really serve a purpose. The kit would be better if all sides were the same measurement, or if the 1/2 inch side were blank, or labeled as [whatever]" x 1/2" like the bottom side with the ruler on it.

The Neitra Setup Blocks are indispensable in a workshop, garage, or for weekender use. I have used them for so many things already, and I seem to be continually finding new uses for them. I reach for them more often than I thought I would. The Neitra Setup Blocks construction is solid and accurate. The markings are easy to read and etched in for what will be years of continuous use.
