This is a nice travel set. Ratchet is what you’d expect, not crazy great but works fine, sockets seem nice after about a year of use, use my Milwaukee 3/8 stubby in it and love this set. It goes with me most places and always comes in clutch. The case is good but the metric sockets will fall out if you open the case upside down, but seems to hold up well. I like the nitrite, if that's what it is? Coating that it has... very anti slip! Though perhaps a bit hard to see in those dark places we sometimes have to go. The ratchet appears to be verily good quality. Probably on the level of old sears/craftsman, speaking of which, perhaps I don't know what I am talking about? But do understand they are made in the same plant that makes craftsman tools today. I have not yet actually used them yet, but have seen enough tools to know whether or not to send them back or try them out. These I feel comfortable giving some praise to before having used them. I will be sure to update once I have had sufficient time to put them to good use. Edit/update: after a good amount of use I would say that the case is more an issue than any of the tool pieces. Most of the slots are snap in but a few aren't. So an unaware bump and you could loose pieces to the set. And the latches also snap in and can get nocked off the case and thus be lost. The ratchet is actually much stronger than it looks! I am capable of twisting off the square drive of most cheap 1/4" drives. But definitely not these ones... the only other proven negative is the flat black can be darn hard to see in dark places if you drop it. I like the power socked size without being full impact thickness. Many standard sockets would have snapped open under the torque I have put these to. Edit again after two months every day use... The only other negative to this set that I would probably direct more to the manufacturer, is the lack of a nut driver handle ... to make this the most ultimate and complete set on the market for the price! Add a nut driver handle that can except the ratchet at the end of the handle so that it also funtions as an extention ... show more

I was a bit concerned about this kit. But so far, and I assure you with enough abuse to have broken or damaged pieces. It held up. Used for portions of an engine swap with a battery operated ratchet.. I'd buy this again.

I use this all the time with my son's Kart. It hasn't rusted, cracked or caused any damage to nuts or bolts. The only thing I would say is that sometimes you need a longer extinction and wished it had it in the kit. But I use a 1/4 drive extinction from my socket set with no problem.
