These things are great. Broke two pliers from off the Cornwell truck and had to purchase these. Great bang for the buck, didn’t even hesitate removing these rusted in, very strong snap rings for a mercedes wheel bearing. Right tool for the right job. I did struggle a bit even with these. But worked near flawlessly. Had some issues where it might slip off if just on the very tip. If you can get a small screwdriver/pick, to push the snap ring further up the tips, it is AWESOME. I also had some issues on deep internal rings. But hey, I get paid by the hour. If you have snap rings this size, you NEED pliers this size. You will not have a good time with sub par substitutes/hacks. Just watch what tips you use, their orientation, and how attached. The pliers might get in the way, just flip sides. Takes a little forethought, but if you have 1/4 a mechanical brain you're good to go. ... show more

As other customers have mentioned, these are big and heavy duty. I even had to modify one set of tips (reduce the diameter) so they would fit the 2" snap ring I was needing to work with. Absolutely amazing! I will never use another tool for c clips. I had to file down one set of tips to fit smaller clips. This tool is huge fyi. The locking mechanism takes the pain out of installing c clips.
