First of all, I jumped on this quarter zip pullover from North Face. I am 5'8" 210lbs with a dad bod build. I choose an XL thinking it would fit me well. The drape on this pullover is not flattering one me. It is a more boxy casual fit. I could have sized down to a L but I think it would be slightly too short on me. A Large may have fit a little better all around. The pullover is definitely comfortable and warm. After a cold wash and low tumble dry, it seems to have shrunk minimally. I think the price value is quite high for this style as the name brand is pushing it over the $90 mark. I feel it should be closer to half the cost. Reason I deducted 2 stars was fit and price which I think in this economy make a big difference when buying clothing online. ... show more

The weight of this jacket stands up to the reputation of the brand in that it is comfortable while being "heavy" enough to keep you warm. It only has the one pocket which isn't great for any jacket, especially one at this price point. The fit seems to be for shorter people as it barely comes to my waist and I'm 5'9" (I ordered an XL). North Face is usually known for their outdoor wear and they make some fairly nice clothing pieces. This fleece pullover is pretty thick and definitely warm as well as roomy and comfortable. The quality of this sweater/jacket is real nice and having the front zip pocket is a great to have. The added benefit of this pullover having been made using recycled material makes this very eco friendly and ads to its value for me. This is a great quarter zip jacket! The piece is made of a nice medium-weight fabric. It's nice to layer with a tank or tee for fall temps, but the fit is roomy enough to layer a thicker shirt or thermal underneath as we inch closer to the winter months. The XL fits as you'd expect. The collar has a soft inner lining to keep it from being scratchy, which I appreciate. The zipper works well and I also like the chest pocket for easy access to small items, such as a guitar pick, a wallet or business cards. I wouldn't recommend putting anything substantial in there, as a bulky lump on one's chest might look odd. Overall I do think the current price point of $90 is a bit high, but that's to be expected for The North Face items. But it is a very good jacket, and one I'd be happy to receive as a gift for Christmas. Five stars. ... show more

This pullover replaces one we bought at the outlet about 10 years ago. That one is starting to show some signs of use, and this is a great replacement. It has a breathable fabric that isn't overly hot and a nice design. If you enjoy high quality outerwear, this is a great option, despite the cost. This men's "Gordon Lyons" quarter-zip pull over hails from The North Face. It's described as a heavyweight, sweater-knit fleece made from 100% recycled polyester, featuring a zip chest pocket and a standard fit. Let me be clear: in terms of quality, this is a 5-star item. It's a wonderful pull over (though the listing calls it a 'jacket,' which to me means an open front). I love how it looks and feels; the sweater-knit fleece is warm and comfortable. The construction is excellent and it has a premium feel. However, the price is what brings my overall rating down to 3-stars. While it's a great product, the cost (close to a hundred dollars at the time of this review) seems high for a fleece pull over. All in all, this is a wonderful, high-quality pull over that looks and feels great. The price is the only sticking point, making the value proposition a personal decision. I'm 6'2", 220 lbs and ordered a XL. The pullover fits me perfectly. Being from Northface, I expected a quality garment and was not disappointed. The pullover is well constructed made from a quality fleece material which is comfortable to wear. It definitely will keep you warm. The zippers are heavy duty and won't bind. It only has one deep shoulder pocket which I find cumbersome to use. But I'll have to get use to it because that's the only pocket you get. I really miss not having kangaroo or side pockets to stick my cell phone and hands in. I ordered the Bark Mist Heather and the color is a little muted than what I expected. Regardless, this is a quality pullover, but for the price, its an ok value. ... show more
