abunda_amazon_reviews The square drive sheared off the first time I used it.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2018;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Broke the first time I used it.;;Sonyslave;;;I purchased this breaker bar before I changed the control arms on my girlfriend's car because I anticipated some nasty frozen bolts connected to her frame. The leverage this breaker bar has is tremendous because the shaft is 24 inches. This breaker bar has been able to remove stubborn bolts with threads corroded for several inches that were originally put in place with loctite. Every bolt I have removed with this tool has come out with very little force. I saw some of the reviews indicating that the shaft flexes when in use and in some cases the tip has snapped off, which concerned me. I haven't seen or experienced any significant flexing, let alone breaking, which makes me wonder what procedure other reviewers are using to remove stubborn bolts. Prior to removing a stubborn frozen bolt, spray the threads and nut with "PB penetrating catalyst" or "WD40." Allow the fluid soak in to the threads for a few minutes before attempting to remove the bolts. In a real bind a bolt can be warmed with a torch to remove it, but I've never had to go that far. If someone is removing a bolt that causes this breaker bar to flex they should consider moving up to truly industrial sized tools like a "30 inch adjustable wrench" or a giant industrial sized ratchet like the ones used on diesel trucks. This 24 inch breaker bar is is my first choice when the tool can fit into the space I have to work with. Due to its length, I can't always get into wheel wells and other tight spaces, so I also purchased a 15 inch companion breaker bar for tighter quarters work.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2016;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;excellent product;;J&J;;;i had some stubborn lug nuts that just wouldn't come off with the air gun or the electric gun, put a 5ft pipe on this guy and put my 200lbs on the end of it and they still wouldn't come off burst my impact socket when i bounced on it, got new socket and did the same thing got them free this time. didn't even bend the guy. i would recommend this item, i'm very impressed by it, broke my snap-off one using it like that ^ that was the reason i bought this guy Update 5/16/2020 After more than a year of the above treatment, it finally broke today. Now I don't have to strain my hand from all the force using a short lug wrench on a stubborn lug nut. I also bought the Titan Tools 21092 19mm 1/2" Drive Non-Marring Deep Lug Nut Socket so shouldn't disfigure the socket whenever I ever have to apply lots of force. Good, now let me extrapolate. It's a breaker bar that can handle a significant amount of torque to break things free. I used it to break free engine bolts and it worked like a charm. If I had any complaint, it's that it worked too well. I disassembled my engine so quickly I can't remember how it's supposed to go back together. I haven't taken this thing the distance yet as I have only used it for one job, but it is solidly built with no play in the joint between the bar and driver adapter. I decided to finally get a breaker bar, so that I can fit tight spaces. I recently worked on replacing the starter on my Honda Accord and boy, this long breaker bar was quite useful. First off, this is on Amazon prime and the price is really very low compared to the competition. I was a little skeptical on the build quality, but boy, I was blown away to see how well built this breaker bar is. It is solid metal , no kidding, it really feels quite heavy to work on, as the name suggests, you only want to use it as a breaker bar, any continued use, will cause fatigue to your hand. The 1/2 in drive was quite nice, fit all my craftsman sockets without any grief and was quite snug. Overall, this breaker bar did the job with very less effort to loosen the bolts. The handle is quite decent and provides a nice grip. If the handle had some sort of rubber, it would have been better, but again, as I said above, you will only use this to loosen the bolt, so not a biggie. Amazon and/or the the seller sent this in a big box, seriously, sometimes I wonder if the packaging is more expensive than the product, so if you are worried about any damages to the product, you should put it to rest :-) I would like to use it for a Timing belt job on my truck, I will have to see if this withstands the Crankshaft bolt. Overall, I am thoroughly satisfied in using this breaker bar and will definitely recommend it to anyone in the market for 1/2 drive breaker bar. For the price, this is the best I have shopped for. Even at HarbourFreight, a comparable breaker bar is more expensive than this one, nothing against HF, however, when I looked at the HF breaker bar, it did not look as sturdy and as well build as this one. If you have a lot of money, I think the ones from expensive brands definitely look good, however, believe me, you will use this very sparingly to loosen tough bolts, for which purpose, this is plenty good.;;Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Excellent breaker bar for the Price.;;Sri
