  • Blown away by how sturdy this product is!
When I purchased this, I thought it was going to be a cheaper quality, but everything was so well built and it was super easy to put together. The edge bars allow for you to mount lights or cameras to it OR you can cover them up. It comes with some grips that I used to mount my camera with and the mount is very solid and I would trust it to hold quite a bit of weight. I am a video game streamer and this made my setup a lot more organized and did exactly what I needed it to do! GREAT PRODUCT! ... show more

  • Checks all the box
I was trying different rigs and this seems to be the most stable. Only been using my phone to record. Have not tried it with my dslr yet but should be able to support it when compared to the single arm version.

  • Amazing but one major design flaw
Very happy with the quality and sturdiness for the price. Very easy to assemble and the telescopic limbs clamp nice and tight. The reason I had to take a star off is the design of the C-clamps, specifically the tightening mechanism. My desk has an desk top to clamp to, but has solid wood sheets vertically beneath. This means that there is a lip large enough to fit the clamp completely, but not enough room to fully turn the handle to tighten. This is because the horizontal length of the clamp handle extends far beyond the footprint of the c-clamp end brackets. Any easy solution on the next iteration would be to fit it with a smaller handle or knob that fits wholly within the footprint of the clamp. Another option would be to add a telescoping handle like you see in vices. Overall very happy bit this one flaw was a pretty unfortunate oversight for an otherwise well engineered piece of equipment. ... show more

  • Disappointed on this one.
I was really excited to get my hands on this overhead rig to shoot some vertical shots. Sadly I'm left a little disappointed but there are some good points that make this a possible option for some people. The key points: 1. The table clamping mechanism is really good. Solid all metal construction with rubber pads to both grip and protect the surfaces you're mounting onto. I show this in the pictures attached to this review. 2. The vertical supports attached to the table clamps are well made, sturdy, and have screw in attachments for lights, flash heads or really any other thing you'd want to mount to a light stand. This is really useful! 3. The top bar fits easily into place and is expandable so you can create the size overhead you need or to fit perfectly to your table. In the middle is a twist lock connector and with a single twist you can expand the top bar. 4. If you're planning to shoot your overhead with a phone or a really light weight camera this setup comes with a phone adaptor that I consider too small and inadequate for the job. That said, the connector that comes with this rig is pretty good (see below) and you could just get a more robust, larger phone holder to replace the one provided. 5. Here's where the disappointment starts. The connector that is used to attach your camera to the cross bar is just OK. Its not that sturdy or super well made. Suitable for a phone, sure, but not a heavier (and expensive) camera. Its basically a clamp with a rubberized grip. The clamp can be over tightened and will bend and warp the top bar. That's what happened to me. HUGE let down. Now the telescoping bar no longer telescopes and that's really poor design. Instead a simple design change with a collar and a 1/4 20 screw in port would solve the issue. 6. The included connector is really inadequate for a camera of any size and weight. That said, I was able to attach my Z9, inverted, to take some overhead shots. The stability was just OK. The better option is still a C-stand or a tripod with a horizonal section. Conclusion: This is an OK piece of kit for a phone or a very small light camera. The cross bar is just too thin walled for serious work with a larger full frame camera and the included connector is enough to deform it and make it nearly useless. I really wanted to love this and I'm normally a fan of the Neewer products but this one sadly misses the mark for me. If this same product was made of thicker stainless steel rods with a better connector that would be the 5 star product I'd use. ... show more

  • Nice and heavy duty
I've always been impressed with most products put out by Neewer, and this was no exception. The poles are thick and sturdy and supports the weight of my DSLR just fine. Should last for years and years and it's very handy to have all the poles to be able to clamp stuff to using magic arms and whatnot as well. If you are a content creator, or do product photography, this is a worthy investment! ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed to level up my WFH setup
I've been on the hunt for the right camera mount for my setup, and I must say, this desk mountable rig has truly exceeded my expectations. Right out of the box, you can feel its sturdy and high-quality construction. It's built like a tank and designed with keen attention to detail. I use a mirrorless camera which, combined with the two LED panel lights, can be quite a load. However, this rig handles the weight with impeccable ease. There's no wobble, no straining, just sheer stability. It's evident that the manufacturers had the needs of professionals in mind when crafting this product. Having a reliable rig gives me peace of mind since I use it all day every day as part of my WFH setup. I don't have to constantly worry about any accidental slips or shifts, allowing me to focus entirely on my meetings not my setup. All in all, if you're in the market for a robust camera mount that can effortlessly support additional lighting equipment, look no further. This product is a testament to the fact that quality and functionality can coexist seamlessly. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Excellent Method to Get Overhead Shots
The Overhead Camera Mount Rig is very stable and quite strong. It will hold a lot of weight. Mine holds 2 video lights, 2 speedlite flashes, a mangle of magic arms, 2 super clamps (one very heavy), and a mirrorless camera with cage without any difficulty. It's easy to assemble. I used a 4' collapsible office table. Height and width are adjustable within limits. And while Neewer have included a few accessory parts, you may need more to complete your setup. I certainly did. Having tried a few others, this is the easiest way to get overhead shots I've come across. Given the room it takes, I had to rearrange furniture in an unused bedroom, but it fits pretty good. If you need one of these, I can recommend it without qualification. ... show more
