I have a camera-top video light from Genaray that I got perhaps six years ago. I use the light regularly, and took it on a video shoot a couple weeks ago -- only to find that the battery would work for a few minutes, then not hold a charge. The battery was a Sony NP-F550 knock-off, in this case it was a cheap battery with a Genaray label on it. Since the light came with only this one battery, I looked for another battery and spotted this Neewer kit at what I still think is an insanely low price. The kit included two batteries, a charger and a USB cable that plugs the charger into any USB power supply. Both batteries that came with this Neewer kit work perfectly in my Genaray light, and they run for a l-o-n-g time -- just what I was looking for. Both Neewer batteries are rated at 2600 mAh, which is considerably better than the 2200 mAh that the original Genaray (and original Sony NP-F550) batteries are rated. That should mean that I will get an extra 15-20 minutes of run time for my on-camera light. That's a good thing. (See my photo for all the battery information.) The Neewer charger accepts two batteries, and it will charge both together or one at a time. Either way, it gets its power in a mini-USB port on the side of the charger. This is exactly the same connector that most cell phones use, so if you are like me, you have at least a half-dozen of these cellphone chargers laying around. In my case, I also have a small counter in my house that has become the "charging counter." I installed an electrical outlet that has two USB ports, so I usually plug the Neewer charger into one of those USB ports. That works perfectly. But I love that the same charger and cable that I use for my cell phone and tablet is also the charger/cable I need to re-charge the Neewer batteries. That is just a smart design. Keep in mind that this Neewer kit does *not* come with a USB charger -- it comes with only a cable that you plug into a USB charger that you supply. I'm okay with that, as I have a LOT of USB chargers. I've had these Neewer batteries and charger for only a couple of weeks, but they have restored the operation of my camera-top light, given me the versatility of having two batteries (instead of only the one original battery) and it has such a convenient charger system. I recommend this Neewer dual-battery and charger kit... it is a terrific value. ... show more

So far the batteries have held up well when shooting with my BMPCC 6k Pro. Most importantly, the charger does in fact charge two batteries at the same time with NO PROBLEM. (I have had other dual chargers that are very finicky and typically only useful one side at a time.) My only drawback is with the charger - it ONLY has mini USB power source. This isn't that huge of a deal, but for on-the-go charging during a shoot, I need to ensure I have a USB wall adapter, or I could be in a pickle. The product has not had enough usage to report on the longevity of either item. ... show more

Have to say the price is great, but usage time is disappointing. Not a lot to say about batteries they change and discharge and give me the ability to not be tethered to an outlet. Good thing they come in a set of two because the charge time seems to be excessive, get you work done quickly if your working away from an outlet and you have no adapter for power. ... show more

Good enough for my needs, bought a vmount adapter to power my field recorder with these instead of needing to get the super expensive goldmounts or constantly churn out AA batteries. Last most of a day with a decent setup. Charger is on the slow side from depleted, so might need to pick up a spare set to rotate out while charging but for the price thats easy to buy another. ... show more

I use these batteries for outdoors with my ring light for better lighting during my photography sessions. I have used them twice already and charged ALL day just for them to die 20 minutes into my session. I wanted to order more for my other lights but will be shopping around for better quality.

I bought Neewer 2 Pieces Bi-color 660 LED Video Light and wanted to power the lights with these batteries. I couldn't find info about how long they would power these lights, so figured I'd write a review to say you need TWO batteries to power one light and it lasted a little over an hour on the highest power. I need them to work for at least 3 hours so I'm going to return these for the more powerful batteries I suppose. ... show more

I bought this to go with a ring light that I also bought off Amazon. Watch my ring light unboxing video to see the battery packs and how I really feel about it. I can also say that I charged the batteries when I first got it and hasn’t charged it since. It still has 2/3 bars and it hasn’t been charged since February 7th maybe. It’s not used everyday. Has only been used maybe 8x for approximately 1-1.5hrs total. ... show more
